My dad came from India in the 70s where he played field hockey. The closest thing he could relate to was ice hockey, and he loved the habs because he loved guy lafleur.

Today, he still loves the habs and I just followed along.

There's also the connection of coming into the country as a minority and watching a team like the habs have success, showing that minorities can make it in Canada.

Even though the team has the Montreal label, it feels like a national team of sorts, which belongs to everyone in the country. I can't explain it.

that simulcast is the most painful thing to listen to in the world.

it's like idiots speaking to each other and becoming exponentially dumber as they do it.
