The Rangers relinquish another first round pick if they reach the conference finals.

We can root for the Rags to win this game then lose in the next round.

- PhillySportsGuy

do you really trust that sather will make a good pick anyway? i don't. death to the rangers tonight.

i hate his water bottle antics. yes, i'm using any bit of ammo to fuel my burning hatred. i want absolute humiliation tonight for captain shoulder pads, sending him into a self-doubting, shame-filled summer.

watching the west and east series there is no comparrison. THat ducks kings game was hit after hit after hit, it was (frank)ing brutal. Only one in the east that can play with those two is boston.

and it was end-to-end rushes, back and forth. so entertaining.

i hate him more than any current NHL player.
- hammarby31

I think I can get behind it. The chest thumping was the last (tiny little necessary) straw. Until then I could almost say I'd like him if he were in O&B. I cannot say that any more.

it is not so much support for monsieur stamen and pistil, but rather unbridled loathing for his opponent. there's no other option. and truthfully, my feelings of mockery for marc andre have turned a bit...i feel badly for him now. he's also a likeable guy.

the chest thumping was the second to last straw. when i saw the flexing from the bench in the next game, it launched me into a blind fury.

Yeah... I saw Anderson get hurt. I didn't realize they had another prospect. I figured they would just recall a G and Hiller would go back to starting. Hiller must really be in the chateau bow-wow.
- PLindbergh31

he is. it's a bit unfair, but he's finished in anaheim, even if he's the one holding the cup at the end for some strange reason.

gibson is a star prospect, and clearly handling the situation very well for the moment. he's 20. plenty of time for the wheels to fall off the cart. i hope they don't. i enjoy watching him play.

Jack Campbell is actually doing quite well, just being brought along a little slower, or should I say "properly". He's a very polished player now.

He probably could have been Kari Lehtonens back-up this year, but they decided another year would be best for his development. Their patience is being rewarded, as his numbers have gotten better and better every year.

- mochoson

another future star. and love that he's 'murican. we seem to be creating a lot of good young goalies now, taking the spotlight away from the finns a bit.

I don't think it would have killed any of them.

I wonder how much the awful "season that shall not be named" forced the organization to bring up Carter and Richards.

they were rookies the year before that.

I understand the fine if the squirting happens during play. Guys not on the ice should not be interfering with guys in action.

But during a stoppage between two guys on the ice? What is the risk/danger/impact on the game there?

- bodiva88

Enough is enough though.

A squirt in a glove is funny and fairly harmless, I mean those things are drenched anyhow. Squirting a guy in the face from the bench while he's playing the puck is completely ridiculous. It's akin to hooking him with your stick from the bench. There's no place for that. I thought the fine wasn't enough even though it was the max.

Squirting a guy in the face while he's on the ice even after play is blown dead is totally disrespectful. Realistically it should be an unsportsmanlike penalty but given the current ongoing situation I don't think a fine is out of order.

I understand that some people get into that. But advanced stats drove me away from baseball. And I'm hoping (and expecting) that it will be just a side dish in hockey. The game is too fast and too compelling to require a degree in statistics to enjoy it.
- bodiva88

as long as doc keeps calling games, he won't have time to fit it in. the other night, one of the goalies seemed injured and he ingored it, and immediately launched into a totally irrelevant backstory about god knows what. when he finally shut up, olcyk or pierre went right into the potential injury. i was flabbergasted. dude. get a (frank)ing clue.

Indeed. I want them to use everything they can to evaluate and monitor. I just don't need to know every guy's triglyceride level to enjoy the game.

I've been pretty critical of BSchenn, but I don't want him traded.

And I definitely don't want to trade BSchenn to create room for Vinny. I'd rather them trade Vinny, get pennies on the dollar, and burn a pile of Ed Snider's money as opposed to trading BSchenn at this point of his career.

- johndewar

the three riders who maneuver through the carnage were really focused.
edit - and apparently the bike is more important than that person lying on the ground
