When Bogo was in the line up was he not a difference maker? Any game i seen him play in i was impressed. - jake24242
He's injured a lot. He's a big guy who can skate. He has all the tools to be a star....but I wonder about the tool box.

Over the last 2 seasons, he has lost so much credibility it's comical. He's basically an MLSE employee who happens to be paid by tsn - sensarmy_11
So....because he has information, he shouldn't report it. Just because it's about Toronto? |

I'm not talking about actual reports......I'm talking about when he shares his opinion......which used to be impartial, but which now reaches hockeybuzz levels of homerism. |

So you reply by saying a bunch of garbage about you not taking him? That makes no difference hes still top 20-30 in the nhl. You can feel how you want about him just like Bergeron isn't a very good first line center. Doesn't make it true... and i didn't say he was a good captain or leader I don't think he is again still top 20-30. If you refuse to look at the stats and make up your mind based on watching what 6 leafs games a year? Then there isn't much hope for you and should do more research before making bold untrue statements. - jake24242

Even with the implosion at the end of the season for the leafs I don't see phanuef getting traded.he is better on their team now then the return they will get for him.i wouldn't doubt however that some guys like kadri, lupul, franson and maybe even gardiner might for help at the centre and d positions , the latter being defensive d |

I see you read the article on TSN.
Move Phaneuf to Vancouver for Bieksa.
What would Dallas give up for Phaneuf? Goligoski and a 2nd? the flip Goligoski.
As for Minnesota it's Vanek or Phaneuf. Who would you take?
Hope they do move him at the draft. - dmnted
If Vancouver moves Bieksa, it's to get younger and cheaper on the back end. I can't see any reason for them to take on more salary right now.
They'll keep Phaneuf. They need a reliable d-man to pick up the slack when Dion gets aggressive. Hamhuis would be a great fit for him on the 1st pairing.
If I'm Dallas, I'm not trading Phaneuf for Goligoski straight up, not to mention adding a pick. |

Franson, Gunnerson and Lupal I see leaving town with Phanuef they promised a culture change and kept Nonis and extended Randy so don't have much else they can do besides moving Dion to keep there word. |

Dallas cant afford to send back any D in the trade unless its a unproven prospect. |

E Kane for Phaneuf+8th overall+chew $1M salary
mventres
Pittsburgh Penguins
So your logic is that isnt a overpayment by the Leafs? - nbboy
No. I think it's fair. Phaneuf is OK, but he's not comparable to Kane, who is also younger. This year's 8th is unlikely to be a superstar, and the $1M isn't a huge deal, essentially splits the difference in salary between Phaneuf and Kane. Given the interest Kane would bring, this seems very logical to me from both sides. WPG can then move out BUF for forwards, which are more plentiful than D. |

Edmonton and The Peg would be interested due to the fact they have a hard time luring free agents. They have to overpay anyway. - stoned
No they wouldn't . No GM would be dumb enough to take that contract |

we all know how credible you are when it comes down to evaluating players based on their contract. How did the Luongo saga end up again? Oh yea, I was right, Gillis was fired, and the nucks were the laughing stock of the NHL. you rambled on about having two elite goalies, and now you have none. Stop trying to sound smart by putting other forum members down, or you will just get humiliated again. |

The 8th this year will be just as good as Kane. |

Quantity doesn't always relate to quality.
Trouba looks to be a real good one.
Bogo....injury prone and starting to look like a bit of a bust.
Toby....soft.
Morrisey is small and a few years away.
Stuart is better suited to be a 5-6 guy.
The rest.....crap. - stormey
Bogo-definitely has been injury prone but has been good when in the line up. He just can't hit the fracking net.
I don't get why people dislike Toby so much. He is a very intelligent player and has an amazing outlet pass. I know he as seen better days but I think that he will return to old form if he can consistently have the same D-partner
Morrissey-I wouldn't call him small but he definitely needs to bulk up and definitely needs some more time,
Stu-definitely a 5-6
The rest...ehh depends. I have never been impressed with Postma but I have always thought that Redmond has a lot of potential and has looked good for most of the games he has been called up for. Pardy, Elerby either way I don't care what happens to them but they are good depth pieces and Clitsome is complete crap. I have no idea how anybody thought he was worth 3 years 2 million. |

Have you spend any time looking at the top 10 im guessing not since that's your reaction. 8th pick will be just as good as E. Kane. |

They might explore the idea I phaneuf, but I think after seeing the return they will end up keeping him.they have to get some winners in that room though.i think at the end of the season Allison put his hands up and said " you want to play like that, go ahead we will we how far it gets us".they sure did see it. |
