Yes, but if one of those assets is VL, it helps clear out some space. But the "plus" part of VL+ would hurt.

I throw guys like Byfuglien, Yandle and Phaneuf in the same group. They're guys I would keep my eye on, but I wouldn't trade a significant piece for.

I would take Dion over Yandle or Buff. Yandle gets basically zero time on the PK and I don't think you can have him and Streit in the same lineup, and Buff's conditioning is always a concern. Plus, I think Phaneuf has a better all around game than either of the other 2.
