It's like a Vancouver fan saying Kassian is an angel while Lucic is a jerk. I agree that Marchand pushes it a little farther that Gallagher, but the gap is not that wide.

Totally agree. He had an outstanding season but this was his first season in which he has had production like this. It's a risk in my opinion.

This sounds a lot like the talk at the beginning of this season. "Niskanen is going to be traded because the Pens can't keep him". Heard that leading up to and all through training camp. He was the defensive leader on the team for half the season with all the injuries, and probably the most consistent. I don't know how but I think the Pens will do everything to try and keep him. Get rid of Scuderi's 4 mil, hell Engelland would do just as good as Scuderi for 500,000.

I think it depends how far the Pens get in postseason wether he'll take a paycut to stay in Pitt. But he is having a great season ,IMO he won't be that good next season. But who knows , he is young which makes him very valuable.

Pens want to resign stemniak, goc and jussi ... No room even at 4 mil per...Plus young guys like Harrington, poulliot and dumollin on there way... Nisk will be somewhere else

He could easily get the 6 million per if that's what he wants. Toronto, Edmonton, Islanders, Philly, Ducks could all use D and there isn't much else to choose from aside from Markov.

I don't think Philly. Sure they'd love to have a Dman but unless Coburn or Grossman are dealt I doubt it. Plus it looks like Hextall wants to upgrade the wing. Right now they are looking at Mason Raymond and Matt Moulson. I played arm chair GM and make the most realistic team and had some issues.

I had the Flyers deal Vinny, no cap space kept signed Moulson - 5mill, Schenn - 3.1 mill, Halpern and Hall 600k each, Gus - 1 mill and Timonen - 2 mill and kept Emery at 1.65 (could find a cheaper option) and with Pronger puts the Flyers 2 mill over the cap meaning they would have to shed 2 mill to be cap compliant before being able to put Pronger on LTIR.

It is unlikely that Niskanen could be fit in at all
