There's a team out there that would take Gleason + a 7th for a 6th. I think you could easily save 3.25 million there if you wanted. Send out Gards + pick/prospect in O'Reilly deal, sign him to a 5.25 contract. Sign Nisk to the same. Call up some scrubs.

They'd have a top-heavy, but acceptable roster.

Not true. Only his qualifying offer. The Avs can qualify him at 1 year 7 million, but he can reject it.The Avs will likely offer that because if they don't, he will become a UFA. He likely wont get a 8X7 million per deal but another team can offer up 7X6 and he could accept. Realistically, I could see the Avs offer up 8X5.5 shortly after the 1 year rejection. Who knows though, he may accept a 1 year deal at that cash, but I would assume he wants the security of a longer term deal.

Not sure, but It's not beyond the realm of possibility that they make changes eventually. Still, I see no reason to go there anytime soon.
