Keep dreaming on that mcdavid/eichel happening.Keeps the fans content.Our start wont be anywhere close to what it was last year.Rookies will be more hungry and the stability created by TM and TN will improve this team alone imo.

Rookies can be as hungry as they want, we finished last season in last and also lost miller vanek/moulson and Ott. I'm sure the rookies were hungry last year too. Besides, murry already said it is likely that whoever they pick this year wouldn't even play for the sabres next year.

what we were ORIGINALLY talking about is your prediction of the sabres rebuild somehow being completed as early as the start of the 2015-16 and somehow making the playoffs despite the fact that they finished this season 41 points out of the last spot in the playoffs.

maybe im just jaded, seems like quite a stretch.

Going to game 7 when you have your number 2 dman out with an knee injury, number 3 playing with a broken hand, your number 1 and 3 centers are out and you are missing a top 6 winger. Lots to overcome to a really good Minny team, dont be jealous of other teams success

I know. Not sure if the NHL still wants to change the rules where the draft basically becomes a shell game and to see where the non-playoff teams place.

There is no guarantee the Sabres finish last or second to last. Sure, I think they miss the playoffs.. by quite a bit. But I don't see them being lucky and getting one of the top two.

Perhaps its a stretch but with the plan and having Murray not Darcy in charge of the rebuild I don't mind thinking that way. They will be better after the 15 draft with or without McDavid or Eichel. That I will say with certainty and they wont be bottom feeders for long (1 more season)

Hell fans did it all last season.If this teams picking one next year everything they've done this year was a complete failure imo.I guess fans don't get that yet.I wont watch another team as dissfunctional as this one was last year.Be like watching the Bills again.

The difference between the Islanders and Sabres is the Islanders are doing the best they can. They sold tomorrow for today in trading for Vanek which means they believed they were ready to compete for the cup. They couldn't be more wrong. The Sabres told people they would tank and they did. They haven't even tried getting better. They are in complete control of their destiny. They have a historic # of first and second rounders coming up, one of the best rated prospect pools in hockey, a owner as rich and willing to spend as they come and an abundance of cap room. So go ahead, bash away about the 2013-14 Sabres.

A troll? Please, anyone that knows me knows I am far from it. Bringing up a Bills super bowl lose or a loss in the Stanley Cup finals is a troll thing to do.

The Sabres sucked this year, they will suck next year but are still in a better position building a winning team than your Islanders IMO of course before you take things way to serious and have a heart attack
