The Hawks have alot of Dmen in the system which means some are trade chips. Clendening is very moveable it seems to me, depending on the return.

Clendening's ELC expires at the end of next season. With Dahlbeck and Johns possibly ahead of him at Rockford, there may not be room for him. He could very well be next season's Pirri/Olsen/Hayes.

Anything can happen, but I don't think Smith is the type of player you offer sheet. I'm a big Smith fan and want him to be re-signed, but another team would have to offer significantly more than he's worth for the Hawks not to match. I don't see that happening.
