There hasn't been much of that yet through the first 7 games of the playoffs. So I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for it to happen.
- EKolb13

Shaw out? In road games they have last line change. A minor injury and that may lead to Regin's appearance. Somebody under the weather, so Nordstrom in for Versteeg.

No major changes. But I do believe despite Q preference to not make changes, inevitably some changes will occur.

Up by 2 with10 minutes left and lose... That's how you lose Series....

Can't believe the Habs choked that game away...Bruins at least get a split at home.
Montreal looked in complete control with about 11 minutes left and bang.

Bingo. Not a great game. Still won. Has to be demoralizing for the Wild to know they got the Hawks C games and still lost. 4th line was absolutely horrible. Wish Regin and Morin would get a shot.
- rollpards19

A line of Morin, Regin and Nordstrom would be effective in this series, imo.

>Agree on line 4 -- other than their "no-goal" goal
>Bolling is not making the adjustments to having Zus vs Kruger as his center
>The longer Morin has to wait, the less likely he will get a playoff game -- unless injuries or illness force Q's hand
>If Versteeg is still sick, Morin will get that spot tomorrow on line 3

Great game 1 win even though they looked really outa-whack. Kudos to Saad, Kruger, Leddy, Benny Smith and Seabs for solid games. And a tip of the hat to CC and Kaner.. F'n A great game by them. Bummed that Shaw got hurt, but I agree with Ogi. He needs to sit either way. Been taking way too many stupid penalties. Morin should get a look and he brings a good nasty edge to Krugers line. Nordstrom seems to have found another gear and is more then holding his own out there. Be good to see Shaw/Bollig sit and let Morin and Steeger back in. Toss up between 32 and 52 as to who turns it over more..

No doubt Minny wont miss the net that much again Sunday. Need to be dialed in right off the bat. Either way.. 5 wins in a row. Ill take it.

Yeah but how cool would a Montreal/Chicago Cup be!?!?! Bettman would soil himself if that happened.

Two guys who haven't played in a month and one with very limited minutes in two at-off games - don't think Q will go there - maybe next October.

Hypothetically...I agree.

But I loathe the Habs sooooo deeply that losing often, and in humiliating fashion, is my eternal hope for that club.

Yeah...still bitter after all these years.

I don't think so either Sage. Everyone is assuming he will be back. He is an UFA. Someone may offer him more money that the Hawks are willing or able to pay. I would rather see someone make the jump from Rockford personally.

It's just another 2 goal lead blown...and the team blowing it has now lost 12x in these playoffs. We are seeing so many wild swings in these games I don't think these have any carryover effect game to game.

Boston did everything to give this one away. A miserable 2nd period but they get one and its off to the races.

And I thoroughly enjoyed Thorton boarding himself. Coming out of the box and taking an immediate run at Subban. That was priceless.

I will just add a twist to your conversation.

I cannot see both Leddy and Clendenning playing on the same roster unless this was necessary due to injuries.

For them to play on the same roster, Leddy has to become better. Right now I want to say that I can see Leddy becoming better. I will not say this about Clendenning because I have my doubts as to his upside. But really I leave any forecast for Clendenning upside to EKolb to expound upon. Or anyone who watches the Icehogs regularly.

With Clendenning it has been said that the Blackhawks would have to live with the plus and minus points in his game as his role on a third pair. Actually Johns is the player I want to see more on that third pair.

To be fair and honest about it both would bring some exciting qualities as third pair dmen. But remember they would only be playing third pair minutes. And probably some powerplay.

- jhawk59

I will waste about as many keystrokes comparing a young player who hasn't played in the NHL so far to Leddy....As I will comparing Leddy to Oduya which some seem intent on doing.

Hawks beat the Wild 5-2 despite sloppy effort. Kane leads the charge: On The Blackhawks :Fox Chicago:http://bit.ly/1q0FnTL

The Hawks did win yesterday, right? I don't think the Wild can play much better. The Hawks sure can. Teams that win an emotional game 7 usually play well in the 1st game of the next series.

What exactly did Nordstrom do to be removed from the line up?

- Elbows15

Exactly.
