i don't need to know now, but the wife is looking to lock in certain times for vacations now that R is entering the school system. Would be nice to know whether there is any reality to this idea.

I heard that. He didn't say he was out of shape. He did say Vinny needs to work really hard over the summer and come to camp in the best possible shape.

You do have to wonder how the back injury affected his conditioning regimen during the season.....ah, frank it, I'm goin back to bar crawling

Really like the Halak move for the Isles, if they can get him signed.

That team should've been better than they were last year, and the goaltending was certainly a culprit in that

Just spent 5 minutes furiously googling for pictures of Sloan's ass. No luck.

Yes, we need tickets for the first night. Or do you have to much paper work related to the draft to actually attend? Maybe they could give you a table on the floor too.

Think the Flyers go for a defenseman in the first round again?

If one of the few in round 1 is there I wouldn't say no.

i disagree with the bolded parts of this excerpt from the canadian press:

Giroux, Wayne Simmonds and Jakub Voracek form a nice offensive nucleus. Veteran defenceman Kimmo Timonen may decide to retire, though of the rest of the D was a sore point for the Flyers, especially in the post-season when Mason faced tough shot after tough shot with little break.

The Flyers might not have made the playoffs without Mason. They might have beat the Rangers with even a solid defensive effort.

i don't know what the (frank) they're talking about? the defense, imho, played a decent series and very well at times. team defense was the problem more than anything in the neutral zone giving up too much time/space - but in their own end, i thought they were pretty good. needed to move the puck quicker, and use the middle of the ice more, but the forwards need to be in position to let them do that. they make it sound like the 2-5 were paren, modry and hatcher on bad knees. what a (frank)ing joke.

they biggest reason they lost is because they didn't execute in the rangers end - not enough shots through, not enough traffic. once again, csp was a non-factor.

I like the look of McKeown and Fleury. But I think Fleury will be taken in the top 10. I like the idea of a big guy who is a good skater. We need that desperately on this team.
