We need 3 things. Weber Weber Weber. If they have to trade away read and Schenn and a draft pick do it. Time is going to retire and pronged comes off our payroll and the cap goes up a least 5 million. Not to mention how bad they wanted him 2 years ago.

Keep adding players and picks and they might get close.

Oh, they'll get Weber eventually... when he's 35-36 years old.

Hartnell to Washington for Obama.

If Holmgren was going to be around when Weber gets that old, I'd have no doubt that it would happen

Philadelphia... where aging All-Stars go to die.

Forsberg, Pronger, Roenick, Coffee, Hatcher, Amonte, Tocchet part deux, Hawerchuk, etc

Flyers could certainly acquire Weber this summer.... as long as you mean Yannick and not Shea.

three plays from last night stick out as nice illustrations of this team and the season:

1. the 4 on 2 offside play where it looked like they were peewees

2. Kimmo getting beat on the last play of the game to negate icing

3. with the puck on his stick in the shooting position he so loves, Giroux puts the puck into the (frank)ing side netting where it gets stuck, leading to the face off outside the zone. going 2 ft wide would have been better.

He's going to win it! Flyers will put that in the hardware case next to the scores of Norris trophies.
- PLindbergh31

the flyers don't win individual awards unless it's such a slam dunk, the league would be accused of obvious fraud if the particular player didn't win...and i know some of the awards are voted by the writers and not within the clubs or league.

Regular buyouts. Can still buy anyone out in June. But there are cap penalties.

If they're desperate, it's "only" a $1.5M hit for next season. Beyond that, it gets ugly.
