its ridiculous when you think about it. to pull in that many young players, and have none of them be a bust. i understand we can debate just how well theyve panned out. but think about it. look at a lot of the big name guys that get moved for multiple young assets. kovy, hossa, pronger, ect. and a lot of the young prospects moved really dont pan out.

Considering how lousy the Flyers generally were against the Rangers, and the series still got to a game 7... their only chance is Fleury imploding over and over IMO.

if they mentally check out and get frustrated, they will struggle. if they can mentally hang tough. i like their chances.

they will grow extremely frustrated having shots blocked and blocked again. if they respond with trying to get even fancier, they will struggle. when they struggle mentally, they take dumb penalties. the rags PP is shoddy right now, but so is the pens PK.

i think fleury will play well in a tighter, more defensively disciplined series.

like i said. the average flyer fan, and also the average stupid media outlet just looking for a montage, are pretty frickin stupid.

theyre good players. they definitely and certainly helped that team win the cup. but it was not THEIR team, to the level it was in philly. christ. i feel like your average person doesnt even know they werent traded as a package deal. it was by third party intervention they even found each other again.

i think theyre both signed to 3 year, 6ish million dollar deals.
