they are the official poster team for post season failure. it's embarrassing at this point. - hammarby31
Yup. Sharks and Blues live in the playoffs and are usually first round fodder |

yeah. every time. richards and carter are good players. they are. cant take that from them. but people are kidding themselves if they cant see that their roles in LA are a little different from that in philly. there, they have kopitar. they have doughty. they have brown. williams is huge in the postseason. and quick stopping pucks. on the flyers, they largely had themselves. gagne had some big years, but still. they are parts of the team there. not THE team. in moving them, the flyers 1. got out of their contracts and 2. stocked themselves with some of the most promising cost controlled young stud forwards in the league. |

Me too! Hope the Pens destroy them. Mase was great. At least we don't have to hear the same old tired goaltender narrative this summer. - PLindbergh31
yep. they found their goalie. i'm very pleased with mason. no complaints from him at all, and i think he'll be even better next year. |

I got a question for you Flyer fans. Woukd you take...
Richards, Carter, JVR
or
B. Schenn, Simmons. Voracek, Coutorier, L.Shenn? - HabsRUs
As of now the 2nd without question. I would take Voracek, Simmonds and Couts alone over the first 3.

exactly. luke schenn was pedestrian during the season, but i thought he had a terrific playoffs, so there's potential there still, and his brother is still just a kid. maybe he never gets any better, but i'd like to keep him a little longer to find find out. |

well the players kinda just sucked supposedly the players weren't listening to mclelan's plan
management expected a good cup run this year someone is going to go Thornton and Marleau have disappointed in the playoffs for years so who knows what will happen |

i mean it should never get to this point after being up 3 games to none. but its hard to totally blame the sharks and not give the kings credit. they did what they do best. suffocate. goaltend. and cash in on their opportunities. kopitar is the best player in the game no one talks about.
that being said, going 0 for 5 on the PP sunk the sharks. |

I don't hate the Pens. I don't care for a few of their players... Neal especially. But the Devils and Rags are the teams I loathe. |

im not a huge fan of luke schenn. he is what he is, i think. not total garbage, and a serviceable defensive guy. but i dont think he really grows much more.
brayden, i think will be a 25 goal, 45 to 50 point player in the league. not a superstar, but a solid top 6 guy you can win with.
but really, those 2 are the lower ends of the spectrum. i focus on those other three. voracek. simmonds. and couturier. straight gold right there. young, controllable, and cheap. |

fine by me. hopefully you guys dont slither off into the offseason just yet. like having a late night crew to go back and forth with.
i already have the smattering of rags fans i know starting the chirping game. would love to spank them. the whole logic of "Welll columbus beat them twice so we shouldnt have a problem" pisses me the (frank) off. |

its ridiculous when you think about it. to pull in that many young players, and have none of them be a bust. i understand we can debate just how well theyve panned out. but think about it. look at a lot of the big name guys that get moved for multiple young assets. kovy, hossa, pronger, ect. and a lot of the young prospects moved really dont pan out.
the flyers turnout for those 2 trades was ridiculous |

Considering how lousy the Flyers generally were against the Rangers, and the series still got to a game 7... their only chance is Fleury imploding over and over IMO. |
