Flyers better announce back surgery for Lecavalier or something his performance was (frank)ing ridiculous - Just5
He had a good shift here and there. But i would feel a lot better if he needed surgery.

For as much grief as Holmgren gets, when they don't want to pay a guy, they won't do it. Giroux had to wait for his money - AllInForFlyers
since the two big deals for richie and carts, i think the flyers have done very well as an organization with the bridge type deals for in house guys. |

But factually, Grossmann only missed 4 games this season, Timonen missed 5, and they both take huge PK minutes and are played in a shutdown role. We factually need someone to replace them, or we will almost undoubtedly have serious problems. - JAKEw1234
Grossmann missed 18 games last year with a concussion.
Missed 4 games this year, but is now sidelined for 10 weeks for major k

true. if you can think of another guy that can be either acquired/fit under the cap, im all ears. ive been lusting after a sniper on crosbys wing other than dupuis for years.
but yeah. to me, voracek is at his best when he is modeling his game after jagr. he does the ass box out pretty well, has the speed and power to take it to the net. i just think even though he is the most talented winger, and it would hurt girouxs line, jake is personally maximizing his own potential if he gets his own line on which he gets to be the primary puck handler. - stayinthefnnet
I hope they didn't already have him and trade him for L Schenn... but that's obviously in the past at this point |

Missed 4 games this year, but is now sidelined for 10 weeks for major knee surgery. Which will be his second major knee injury in the last 4 years. - the deaninator
Not that it matters, but isn't it ankle surgery?
Grossmann would come in third in a match race blueline to blueline with a pregnant woman. |

which #1 dman do you have in mind? - watsonnostaw
give nashville an offer for weber they can't refuse - they need offense and missed the playoffs again. PK hasn't signed his mega $$$ deal yet - maybe there is something there. Phoenix could use some forwards too after missing the playoffs - OEL? Thats to name a few.

Letting Ville Leino walk might be the single most underrated thing he did for this franchise, and while we can all argue about Matt Carle, that was a big damn contract

yes, that's correct. my mistake.
which actually is worse, since that is the 4th ankle injury he has had, in the last 3 years. |

yeah. it didnt work out. but i dont hold that trade against them. there was logic there. they just wouldve benefited themselves going after a different mold of defender |

too bad simmer didn't show up much this series... other than that his contract might be the best homer has inked. |

Carle was lame.
Leino probably would have had a decent career here. You have to play where your play style fits.
Flyers are famous for not realizing this. Oh look Pavel Bure is a free agent. Sign him at all costs!
First day at camp... "Hey Bure, we're going to need you to play defense first"

Are you saying he had a bad series? Define bad. Take away the ENG and he's still 5 points and +2. |
