That's all we have with regards to the Flyers. We try to use stats to reinforce our opinions but they're abused way too much.
I'll root for them to get 100 points. - Flyersgod
I hope they do, as well. It would be nice to see it come together |

by no means is giroux a second line middling player. hes a top 10 guy in the league at his position, and a franchise cornerstone.
however, his line really isnt bad. i still think voracek would be the type who is better with his own line, as him and Giroux are both guys who are better with the puck on their sticks, but voracek is still a quality guy. most of those duos who were listed dont really play with each other besides the powerplay. most of girouxs problems even strength come from defenders who cant get him the puck. although having to drag around hartnell doesnt help either. - stayinthefnnet

Giroux isn't going anywhere. He's the center piece of this team. Wouldn't hurt to get some more guys that can play with him though.
Like a LW'er who can actually play. Hartnell doesn't do much these days. - Flyersgod
Hartnell brought the line down this series, and it was clear once berube had a synapse in his brain and moved him off that line.
I'd love for them to bring in a sniper for giroux.
At this point, I'd even take a guy like AO (not suggesting trading at all!) because I don't give a crap if you don't play defense if you can score 50+goals. Giroux would have 100+points with a real sniping winger.

No...but so what if his ceiling isnt sky high? He hasnt earned anything more than 2 mil a year. So keep him as an option in the top 9 somewhere. Bc hes not going to get you much of anything in a trade, except for a young project dman. - Just5
At that rate Im good with it but like I was saying there seems to be some discontent there. Schenn himself said there wasnt much dialogue about a new contract, and when Homer was asked about it he basically just said they agreed to re-visit it after the season. Idk, Flyers were pretty eager to lock up Couts so who knows. |

Even on other lines, another star player can draw the other team's top defenders away. Can still take pressure away from the other guy. And I agree, I'd like to see if Voracek is really good enough to run his own line and help get more out of the supposed offensive depth the team has |

They're VERY weak on the Left side.
Hartnell and Raffl are the only 2 left wingers on the team.
Left Wing is pretty important.... |

For as much grief as Holmgren gets, when they don't want to pay a guy, they won't do it. Giroux had to wait for his money |

Did you call Rangers 5-0 and Carcillo with GWG before the game? |

But factually, Grossmann only missed 4 games this season, Timonen missed 5, and they both take huge PK minutes and are played in a shutdown role. We factually need someone to replace them, or we will almost undoubtedly have serious problems. - JAKEw1234
I would high five homer if he sent grossmann, kimmo, and coby packing. Time to bring in a legit #1 dman even if that involves the departure of coots and/or schenn imo. |

true. if you can think of another guy that can be either acquired/fit under the cap, im all ears. ive been lusting after a sniper on crosbys wing other than dupuis for years.
but yeah. to me, voracek is at his best when he is modeling his game after jagr. he does the ass box out pretty well, has the speed and power to take it to the net. i just think even though he is the most talented winger, and it would hurt girouxs line, jake is personally maximizing his own potential if he gets his own line on which he gets to be the primary puck handler.

Anybody who's followed this team for more than 10 minutes. If it wasn't Carcillo it would have been Prospal jumping over the glass in his street clothes and skates. |
