I don't think Akeson figured into most people's plans, but now you have to figure he is now a strong shot to stick with the team.

I don't understand this.

What was encouraging about the season? Going 1-7? Getting a playoff spot and then losing home ice advantage to the team that out classed them 6/7 games. The same team that relied on their goalies to even make this a 7 game series?

Akeson earned it the way a nun drafted player had to: On the ice.

If the Flyers do commit to him on that third line, that is a poop-ton of money they save that they can use elsewhere

it definitely lacked intensity.... i don't think it felt at all like I remember the NHL playoffs being.

I'd feel bad if he wasn't about to have 5 months off to spend his millions. They will be over this before we will. While we sit here and talk about the offseason like it's all that matters, they won't even be thinking about this game.
