Hope you are right. I'm not optimistic, but I never am. So I will expect the worst and hope for the best.
I'm extremely confident the Kings will win tonight. - PLindbergh31
Only way NY wins is if Lundqvist plays out of his mind. Flyers are bringing the heat. |

cant say ive ever had the pleasure of seeing a tamaskan. i had a siberian husky growing up. was probably the greatest thing in my life to date. its been going on 4 years now, and some mornings i still wake up expecting him to be there, or open the door wondering where hes at after being gone all day. - stayinthefnnet
I often describe the Tamaskan breed as a husky / shepherd mix so you get the idea. Yep I'll always have a dog in my life. My 14 year old has been with me longer than my fiancee.... |

Not sure about that. Lundqvist's stats are pretty good in this series, but he hasn't been asked to do much. In the Ranger wins he could have played in a tuxedo. |

Speaking of tonight, I really would love a lengthy overtime.
Big game, and lets make it even more heart-pounding. - flyer_nutter
YOu are out of your ever loving mind. If Flyers were up 6-0 at the end of 1 I'd be happier. |

There really hasn't been a white knuckler in this series yet. If this game goes into overtime it would be tough to watch without hiding behind a pillow. |

Yeah and the Flyers sat back and played a defensive game in games 1-5. Not in Game 6 or 7. They are coming full tilt on OFF. As evidence from last nights game and Berubes gameplan change he broadcasted. |

The only show tunes I know I heard during the first part of the road trip in "The Sure Thing."
Button up your overcoat, when the wind is free,
Take good care of yourself, you belong to me!
Eat an apple every day, get to bed by three,
Take good care of yourself, you belong to me!
Be careful crossing streets, ooh-ooh,
Cut out sweets, ooh-ooh,
Lay off meat, ooh-ooh,
You'll get a pain and ruin your tum-tum!
...and I think I know most of that song about Trouble in River City. Had to learn it in 7th grade back in the thirties. - mayorofangrytown

If you're serious let me know. There are only 2 breeders I would reccomend on the entire east coast. I edited my last post while you were typing... - FlyersGrace
I'll be in touch when we're ready to bring a dog home. I know where you lurk. Right now we have to wait for a cat or 2 to succumb to old age, but they're being f'n stubborn animals as per the usual. |

yeah, i looked them up online after seeing it and that description sounds right on. its still funny to think that after all this time, some breeds are still relatively new in the grand scheme of it. im definitely a large breed person, and the shorter lifespans are a heartbreaker.
may i ask what breed your 14 year old is? |

She's a shepherd mutt - she's about 70 lbs or so. Her brother from the same litter passed last August. She's slowed down a ton but still hanging in there. Sadly I only give her a few more months. But she continues to prove me wrong and I'm ok with that. |

The frustrating thing is this series was there for the taking. Flyers haven't played well for the most part in this series. I guess you have to credit the Rags for that in some ways.
I think the one positive, even if the Flyers lose tonight, and Mason doesn't play particularly well, the goaltending narrative that exists after every playoff exit won't be there. Outside of game 3, the goaltending has been more than good enough to win this series. |

Yeah, my sister used to breed Malamutes and the short lifespan made it hard for me to imagine. Just too much sad.
Now she's a dog whisperer. Takes on fosters with serious issues to get them ready to be adopted. But is a softy. So now has a Springer Spaniel, a yellow short-haired mutt, and a Great Pyrenees that she's kept. |

yeah. i dont know if i could imagine getting another breed other than a husky or a malamute. he was a little over 12 when he finally went, and by the end, it was pretty bad. slowed down a lot, but that is to be expected. he also just was mentally going. the saddest part was, id swear there were some days where he was crystal clear. they were actually the worst in some ways.
but still. despite the endings, ive yet to find anything that compares to owning a good dog. |
