The interference and tackling the rangers get away with is mind boggling.

they're also champions of moving picks - never get called.

Stupid penalty by Pouliot. Great embellishment by Giroux. Don't be blind to Claude's acting skill. He's played against Crysby enough to have honed his craft. Both sides are doing it. equally. I wish both teams would just play and stop that crap
- DONMURDOCH14

yeah, you're right.....I was just walking down the street and a guy came running up from behind me and grabbed me by the head as he ran by......I just kept right on walking......(frank) him

If both teams are complaining about the officiating, does that mean its been good?

Please do not say both sides are doing it equally. You have to see as a hockey fan how the Rangers, especially Dorsett, have been over doing it.

Its a necessary evil. The Rangers have really been going after Giroux. He wasn't flopping early in the series then began to do it in order to get the calls.

If I were Giroux, I would keep doing it. The refs reinforce the flopping by not calling legit penalties unless the player flops.

100 percent. if the refs do their jobs, and call the original actual infractions, and stop only rewarding oscar performances. there would be less of them.

Its a major issue that they don't call a penalty where the players work their arse off to get though it. Quite comical really.

It should be an automatic 1 game suspension if a guy fakes being hit with a high stick when the camera clearly shows it didn't touch him.
- FlyersSteve118

ive defended giroux a ton with this stuff, but i seem to remember a certain skate by the pens bench in which he was somehow seemingly decapitated by air. so i dont know about jumping to a suspension conclusion.

but maybe just calling the game fairly to begin with? interference is still on the frickin books. call it.

Its been like that for a while now. Even when they call a flop it's ruled 'embellishment' and both guys go to the box.

There is no downside to flopping.

EXACTLY. like okay, you were hooked by 2 people simultaneously, but youre a stud so you got through it to get a shot off. well, hey you got a shot off, so it couldnt have been that bad. if youd have gone down i would have rewarded you, but you didnt so....

then people wonder why when there is a stick in the skates and players are quick to go down. its all systemic from how shoddy officiating is.

Its impossible for the refs to know. Thats why the players take advantage of the situation.

If a player goes down to the ice and grabs his face after a non-high stick, that should warrant a suspension. Not in the playoffs though.

yup. i dont really fault giroux for doing it in the slightest. its kind of sad to have that mentality, because yeah i get the whole integrity argument or what not. but you know what, (frank) the refs. they should show some integrity.

im not saying it needs to be like the nba and if you breathe near a star its called. but what goes on now is ridiculous. this need to foster this whole "playoff hockey" mentality just leads to a gum up show.

sure he did. i'm at the point where i don't care because he's been targeted and mugged all series with very little consequence for the rangers. if that's what it takes, and they score on the powerplay, and win the game and the series, terrific.

He did, but for you to call him out and Crosby saying 'he learned it from him' is ridiculous. The Rangers have been flopping like fish this whole series. I would argue Claude learned it from them. He saw the Rangers getting calls for flopping and thought he'd do the same.

I don't care if it's called tight or loose as long as the refs are calling what they see and not being all reactiony towards the players' antics

I don't know which incident, so I can't speak to it.

I think players should be told they will be suspended for diving. Then break down what constitutes a dive.

If a player does it, he will be open to a potential suspension.
