you signed him for 5 years @ 22.5 million add the signing bonuses and that number jumps to 35.5 million

so on average with the bonuses included you are paying a 4th line player 7.1 million per year

Easily solved; 1) The refs could actually call diving more often, its on the books, and/or 2) make it a 4 minute penalty. The way it stands now, why not dive or embellish? You never see a dive call without a matching minor... The worse case is 4-4 play. If it's 4 minute, you can disadvantage your team by doing it.
