orr also started his career before sticks were curved. you realize that if gretzky never scored a goal in his career, not one, he'd still be the all time leading scorer in NHL history? but he had to go ahead and score 894 of them to lead all NHL players in that category.

and hockey would not be thriving outside of canada and the northeast US if not for him.

and you could make a very solid case for lemieux being the best of all time. eyeball test and a look at the numbers in a shortened career. he's likely the best natural talent that ever lived.

Harvey was great at the outlet pass but he wasn't one to carry the puck up the ice. He did skate with it a bunch in his own zone though until one of his forwards would be open.
