i've been following this Raptors series a bit because it seems like that's all TSN/Sportsnet can talk about. the whole storyline has been about the plucky, underdog Raptors really gutting it out against the favoured Nets, blah blah blah. then i find out that the Raptors are actually the higher seed with home court. they won the division. how are they underdogs??

i guess. i just find it silly that everyone tries to play the underdog card. it's like no one wants to play with any expectations.

Nets had some injuries this year and are now healthy....also I assume people think Pierce and Garnett are 10 years younger.

maybe it goes back to the parity you were talking about earlier coupled with the mental fragility some of these wieners have

Saw him back in 2003 when he was the best player to ever play the game.

Habs won 10 Stanley Cups since the Leafs won their last.

Still can make fun of them.

could be. like obviously the Habs are underdogs against Boston but do you really wanna hear the "nobody expects us to win, no one respects us" card played? just shut up and play. we all know who the favourites are.

i honestly think that the whole thing is a put-on, a schtick. from Julien to the players to their media. it's designed to get a rise out of people, nothing more. if you think about it logically, the things that all of these guys say, it's not possible that they really believe it or that they really feel that way. but then maybe i'm over-estimating them a bit.

You really have to feel bad for the guy convicted of first degree murder, kidnapping and rape, who had a (frank)ed up execution yesterday.

Poor bastard....didn't deserve that at all.

I guess his vein burst when the were administering the drugs. Started convulsing all over the table. They had to lower the blinds.

Died of a heart attack about an hour later.

THE SYSTEM FAILED HIM!!!
