If Bylsma (and that is a big 'if') is fired, then Trotz seems like an obvious choice. |

He's from BC and Vancouver is a desired location for coaches, execs and players. If the Canucks wanted him that badly, he'd already be the coach. The same goes for Toronto. - strombone
Actually he is from Manitoba. Check your facts |

Wh, playing now, would need a new Head Coach?
Only team I can think is PIT if they lose vs CBJ - MrBeanTown
Kings could look at him, the team is starting to tune out Sutter. |

There will be an opening in Pittsburgh if the pens lose to the jackets for sure. this is the healthiest they have been all year and the results are terrible. The joke locally is that its a country club at consol. if you are a veteran and the coach loves you, you dress regardless of performance. see the bottom 6. |

Initially, I was against brining in Lavy. Recently, though, I've been entertaining the idea. I think he would work if he was surrounded with the right staff (not Reirden and Granato). |

One would think Pittsburgh. One would also think that's a poor match. |

As much as everyone says Pittsburgh, I personally think Minnesota would be a better fit for his coaching style. If Malkin ever wanted to play a complete game, he'd be a better player than Crosby. He doesn't. Just like Ovechkin doesn't.
Why bang your head against a wall trying to get players to buy in to your system when you can just go coach a team with Suter, Parise, Koivu, Granlund, Pominville, Coyle, and Moulson? Not half bad. Especially if they ever get a goalie that can stay in one piece either physically or mentally. - njdevils350
What he said. Former owner of Nashville is current owner in Minnesota.

Trotz is a neck above the rest of the potential coach hires out there this summer, though only figuratively. |

Not sure who else at this point you would like for him to dress for the bottom 6. He benched Pyatt, and his only other choices are a 7th D Man or career minor league men. The lack of bottom 6 depth falls more on Shero.. The Cup team in 09 had Dupuis, Staal, Kennedy, Cooke, and Satan as bottom 6 forwards... that is a major upgrade over what is there now |
