I'm just asking here...but is Chara really all that effective in the crease? More so than say Lucic (who has quicker hands and feet)?

Who else has his shot from the point?

He's come a long way as he's been there all year, 10 PP goals this year I believe and pretty much all in front.

He's much more mobile down low then he looks lol

More effective then at the point i believe.... its too common at the point just blasting shots the Bruinsget away from puck movement and just start feeding him for bombs.... teams clue in pretty quickly

I haven't had the opportunity to watch all that many games this year...you know all these ladies fighting for my attention and all... but in the few games I saw, he never did much to impress in front of the net...

Not related, but yesterday when Crisp signed his contract, people were asking about Thrower...

Apparently, Habs recommended Thrower that he get a season ending surgery (ankle) so he could start his rehabilitation process as soon as possible. I don't think they would have done that if they thought he didn't had a future with the team. I imagine he'll get signed at some point in May.

As for Vail, not so sure. Habs are at 35 contracts right now, excluding those who are RFA's and UFA's this summer. They may have to sacrifice him to keep room available.
