i am good with this cept Granberg as the 7th.. that hurts his development.. you want him playing. either on the leafs or the marlies

so sign ranger again to be the 7th. it doesnt matter if he is the press box hero

- Dozzer

(frank) ranger, granberg will get minutes if we run 7 defense which gives more minutes to forwards because our 4th line is useless. As long as he gets minutes. Put the best team on the ice, thats all that matters at this point. If Granberg plays good, hell get more minutes

No (frank)ing way do the Leafs do that. brutal.
- burn

not sure why that's a bad deal. edler is an excellent d-man, would EASILY be your 2nd best, and possibly best d-man. he had a bad year, but then again, kadri wasn't exactly great either.

you won't get a better d-man for that package, IMO.

Why don't you do Marlie related blogs? It sucks that the Leafs are done, but there's still good hockey to watch & read about in Toronto
- Davey_Crockett

I will be......they start against Milwaukee tonight and I will be covering all their home games in person.

the only reason 7 d-men were ran last year was because franson is brutal defensively

16 teams Bozak is the 1st line C on.

GO!

- robin_steele264

Not a huge stats guy but Bozak is 17th in ppg by centres which could have been higher without injury IMHO, as he played injured for a few of those games. He's only .1 ppg behind Joe Thornton which is what? 1 point every 8 games more over the course of a season. (Correct me if I'm wrong). I know there are other factors to consider. He could be a number one on MOST teams though I believe. Unless a true star centre comes around I think TML can spend money on upgrades elsewhere.

kadri wasnt all that bad, considering lupul wasnt all that great this year and their other winger was clarkson/kulemin/raymond for a bit. Kadri did quite well, and he tossed around the body.

m'eh, ryan played the whole year with a sports hernia, and still scored 23 goals and 48 pts, playing only 70 games, and very low minutes...........while also being an excellent 200ft player.

i'll gladlly take that, excited to see what he does when he's healthy

bozak is not a #1 on most teams - not even close.

he works well with phil and has some decent 2 way game; but is no bonified #1C.

I'm not sure I understand why he gets C- or whatever Augello rated him.

Seems to me like Kadri did well all things considered.

50 points is decent for a #2 centre in this day and age, especially a young one who wasn't exact;y playing with the highest caliber wingers.

his injury is likely why his PPG is so high.....had he played the whole year, there's a really good chance that his ridiculous sh% would have come back down from the heavens.

but please, name most of the teams he'd be a #1 on

then they obviously didn't watch him play. he was a + player on a team that was extremely -

maybe "excellent" is a bit of an exaggeration, but he was very good
