I just don't agree that he's that sure if a thing to pass up a really good player in Bennett or a really high potential in Draisaitl.

I'm telling you. Draisaitl is overrated. We will be saying "whatever happened to that guy" in about five years. Reading between the lines on Bennett, I think "good", not great.

That's what I'm reading between the lines when I see Reinhart. I also see that with Bennett, very good with fight in him. You don't find a lot of skilled players with that. I have heard scouts compare Reinhart to David Krejci. Nice player, but 2nd overall? Another reason I'm limp towards him. We'll see in 2-3 years who is the better pick.

By the way you say that Bennett isn't a "complete" player. That's not what the OHL coaches said when they voted him 2nd best D center. That gets overlooked. Maybe Bennett needs a better publicist/agent.

No he's not the best skater in the draft but it's not like it's terrible either. Tavares' biggest knock when he came out was his skating as well. Although I'm happy with either of the Sam's I'd prefer Reinehart because of his high hockey iq. We neeeeed someone who can make the right play consistently.

Oh by no means am I knocking Bennett. Reinhart's hockey iq is off the charts as projected by various scouts. He can make up for his lack of speed by having sound positioning on the ice.

I've seen a lot of scouts higher on Bennett. I think Reinhart has been over hyped, especially among Sabres fans on Hb.

Nope . Ekbald will be the greatest ever . I hear he may be put in the Hockey hall of Fame as soon as this year! To be fair there was no exceptional status around for Orr . Not even a draft . He was in the Bruins territory.

This is not true. Orr is from Parry Sound in Ontario, which at the time was the Leafs' territory. Bruins' scouts saw Orr at an early age when scouting a couple of other players and realized Orr was something special. They stayed in close contact with his family to "steal" him from the Leafs.

Why go out and witness a player yourself, and make your own opinions when you can sit back, read, and confide in what scouts (probably the same scouts that touted Patrik Stefan as a franchise player) say about someone?
