You guys have your top 10 prospects ticketed for the hall of fame, pretty sure that's not reality, when you can get a 25 yr old top tier player for prospects you have to make those deals everytime. - Graves#9
while i agree that alot of the times we overrate out prospects (as do most fanbases) there is reason to believe these guys will be good; maybe none of them will turn into pk subban level but personally id rather have 2-3 above average players than 1 excellent player- and for what its worth, some could argue that subban isnt excellent. |

Well , I guess point totals say a lot. I dont believe they say everything, but in 37 games, it looks like Strome couldn't produce consistantly. Nuge had basically the same numbers a year ago in the AHL as Strome has now. I'm not knocking Strome, I just think there is a reason he wasn't picked ahead of Nuge at their draft. I predict RNH will finish next season somewhere between 10th and 15th among Centers. This past year he finished 27th. - Jeropotato
Yep...he had a broken leg. Lots of scouts felt Strome was the most talented player in that draft but his leg injury set him back in the rankings. I put both of those guys very close to eachother, but I like Stome's vision. |

Why's that?? Pitt or Columbus ??? Not worried about either one. Now Boston is a different story. - Graves#9
Just worry about getting passed a team who has their starting goalie actually in |

I agree with that, but if you have someone who has already proven themselves here in the NHL and you know they can play then why not try to make the trade??
I mean I was disgusted when he traded Vanek and basically got nothing back. He has proven that when it comes to trading he is not the brightest bulb in the pack - kasperrko
but we all agree with your comment that if its 1 top prospect and a pick they would do it. however the original comment was 2-3 prospects and a pick for subban...THAT not as many would do. |

Like I said, he's a good player, only going to get better, but I'm happy with the Nuge. |

putting aside the fact that you came to an islanders forum, this isnt about the islanders. no one here would debate that they blew....having said that, putting down your guard a bit, hes right, ray emery is has played over 40 games in a season once in a career and hasnt broken 35 since 06-07, hes not exactly the 2nd coming of dominik hasek... |

Agreed but I wouldn't trade 2 or 3 of our best prospects for him. - Vukota
Then enjoy Tom Gilbert and hope one of the prospects we have can be that good in 2 years |

I agree but at I now understand what my fellow Islander fans are saying. The Islanders have a deep prospect pool but you are not going to give up the farm for one guy. |

It would also get us a straight jacket! WAAAAYYY TOO MUCH.
I wonder how much hockey half the Subban bandwagoners have actually seen him play. I've always loved his offensive zone play but have never been impressed with him his own zone. I know a lot of Montreal fans feel that same way too.

I won't enjoy Gilbert because they passed on him when he was on waivers and I will enjoy Strome, Pulock, Reinhart and possibly Del Colle |
