Really? "Embelishment should have been called" That would have cancelled out one of your penalties, Putting your "ultra clean" team at ONE penalty for a playoff game. Ya! That needed to be called

Why does Keith's play disturb you so much? He does nothing more than what Backass does every single game. (that he gets to play in of course)

- camfor

Keith is as dirty as anyone. All game long he has his stick on the back of legs, hands, during play before faceoffs after the play. he turns his blade up almost using it like a dagger. he did it last year as well and got in trouble for it. if he has so much class what is the need for that. He won't step up to anyone either big vagina

And nowhere did I say Keith was a clean player. What I was getting at is that his play is no worse than more then a handful of Blues players, Yet he is an "asshat"(whatever that is supposed to be) and the Blues players are all victims of the Blackhawks play, Because their reputation(as a Hitchcok coached team) is super clean. Can't have it both ways!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh this is rich!!!

- So you're stating what 99% of the defensive players do in the NHL. Good job!

- This might come as a shock to you but your top defensive player, a Norris trophy winner, probably shouldn't put his team in a position where he's off the ice for a prolonged period of time in crucial Stanley Cup playoff games especially seeing his pairing partner is already out due to NHL inconsistency. Then again... that's looking at it from an honest perspective. And.. if you're talking about the Carter situation perhaps Carter 5 seconds prior shouldn't have slashed Keith's bare hand when he glove fell off.

- "He won't step up to anyone either".. hmmm... sounds like a certain Captain we know who targets players who he 100% knows won't step up. As posted on another blog there were many people in the NHL that weren't necessarily pleased he was hurt in Game 2 but were not upset that he finally got "his".

It means the Wolves are in the AHL playoffs and they need him playing there rather than not dressing in the NHL..... Since he is one of maybe 2-3 decent Blues prospects left in their system he needs the development.

Not a big fan of fair weather/band wagon fan criticism. See it thrown out here a lot about Hawks fans.

Wouldn't this sort of ignorance be a sign of same?

BTW.... GO BLACKHAWKS!

Was hoping I could catch the start of the next thread again.

Catching a flight. Good luck to all and hope no more injuries or assaults tonight - to either team or their fans.

This.

I don't profess to be an expert on the Blues farm system (I'm nowhere even close to that), but there isn't much at in the "A" beyond Jaskin and "Princess" Rattie.

Perhaps most of the Blues prospects are overseas or in the NCAA and Junior levels?

Jake Allen and that's about it.

Anyway, I just secured my tickets for Game 6. I guess I'll get harrassed there. Now I have tix for 5, 6, and 7. Please let this year's handshake be a happy moment for me. Go Blues!

Not exactly. The idea that it's in order to "get him (Jaskin) some playing time" suggests that the Blues intend to re-call him quickly. The position he's coming from is that the Chicago Wolves, the Blues AHL affiliate is a playoff team, and Jaskin is needed there.

it's not about him helping the wolves. the blues don't really care how the wolves do, they care how their players develop. they want him to get playoff games in.

not sure what to think of roy lining up with oshie/schwartz though. so tired of seeing roy fling the puck out from behind the net in the o-zone as soon as someone breathes near him.

Really? Do tell...

That's exactly why Vancouver hightailed it out of Chicago. It's not so much about player development there. It's more about putting a winning team on the ice in order to stay in the black. That's why Vancouver left. Chicago offers less roster spots and/or playing time for developing players.

As for them not caring about the Wolves and their playoff chances, well there is some truth to that. However, if the Blues are sending down Jaskin, it's not for a couple of nights. They want the kid playing - and if it's in a playoff atmosphere, that's even better.

If Jaskin is back up with the Blues, someone else got injured.
