This series has been unbelievable! My fear as a Hawk fan is that if/when Backes steps on the ice for game 5 the crowd will be insane. It will be tough for the Hawks to weather the storm for the first ten minutes as the Blues feed off of the crowd.

Like the first 2 games in St. Louis when the crowd was amped and Hawks were blown out of building?

Everyone wants to make prognostications about momentum, breakout games, etc, but it seems obvious to me that every game is going to tightly contested to the very end.

Anybody know how much longer T.J. Oshie will be out of the lineup?

Sure would be nice to get him back......

Why risk him in a real game when he's so valuable in the shootout? #secretweapon

I yelled at the TV last night when he tried to do his dipping his shoulder deke to get in the zone 6 times ina row to get knocked off the puck 6 times in a row.

Kid needs to be unpreditable in other aspects other than his shootout.

Where? Thought this was it.

Actually, when I saw the trolling over there with all the pics of Crow and the Toews hit by Reaves coupled with the blogger calling for a 70 game suspension for Seabrook I decided to post here.

Hitchey of the 3 chins will disregard the league warning Friday. He know the only way the blows win is to play that "chaos" style he wanted in 1 and 2. It still may work.

I am beginning to doubt either of these teams make it through the west after this series. Looks like a lot of players on both sides playing injured. Of course, Kane looked like he was back to 100% last night. He will have a bulls eye on him in St Louis. Better watch his back.

I knew this game wasnt going to go our way when Sharp did his best acting job.

Clear embelishment and it should have been called.

Blues cant play for 15 minutes and expect to win anything let alone knock out the defendng champs.

Played really well from the 2 minutes left in the second mark until the 7 minutes left in the game.

Duncan Keith is an all time ass hat.

Best of 3 Hope the blues show up to play tomorrow night. Clearly did not last night.

When you acquire player like Lapierre and Ott calls like that will eventually be made. That was all about Lapierre's reputation.

If clear embellishment should be called then perhaps pure interference and holding as well? If so, Ott and Lapierre would get 10 penalties a game.

That was about the only thing Sharp has done right in this series. He looks to be skating right but his decision making sucks.

I actually thought Oshie had a good game. Tarasenko and Schwartz are talents - would be better off in another system though.

The Blues only playing "15 minutes" of decent hockey had more to do with the Hawks finding their game than the Blues not playing theirs.

Great action last night from both teams.

Miller has to freeze that puck on one of the three chances he had at about 4:20 left in the third so we can get a line chance and face-off. Brutal that he couldn't catch that on both tries he had after the first save. He looked like Halak for a moment and it bit us. A couple of missed clears or giveaways didn't help either.

I'm not at all saying they lost because of Miller but by the same token I'm not seeing a $6-7 million a year goalie either.

Anyone else think Panger's comment about Sobotka's injury were way off? I'm guessing his legs were wobbly because his head bounced off the plexiglass or the seam between the glass. His head went sideways and hit. Hopefully he is feeling better today.

Still would rather have had Porter/Cracknell all year at $ savings and Moulson but I'm not a gm and am surely Sgt Schultz when it comes to these things.

Lappierre (except the stupid hit from behind) has looked awesome this series. Ott has looked good too. If anything I think porter has been getting too much ice time. We need guys like Paajarvi playing. Porter and Cracks have looked good, but anytime they are on they don't really get any scoring chances or mess up chances that a guy with more skill would bury.

You would be very scary with Moulson. Probably would have had to add a top prospect like Allen or more 1st rounders to get him though. I'm sure Hitch wanted Ott - his type of player.

Neither team is really running 4 lines.... that will not get you to the finals.

I love watching a STL team that's 99% goons try to play a real team. The Blues self destruct over and over and over because they're nothing but immature goons. The only guy on the team who isn't a goon is T.J. Oshie.

Let me put this another way,

I love watching a CHI team that's 99% sissified panty-waists try to play a real team. The 'Hawks can't win without help from the refs and protection from the league because they're nothing but silly little sissified panty-waists. The only guy on the team who isn't a sissified panty-waist is Brandon Bollig.

I love hyperbole!

I really have to laugh at this.

Someone labeling Taresenko as a goon?

That's a new level of stupid.

More like a goon in Reaves plus some semi goons in Jackman, Polak et al....

Think of the evolutionary ladder with Reaves being the obvious neanderthal.

The difference is the Hawks have a majority in the 2nd half of the ladder and maybe 1 in the lower half (Bollig).

The Blows have maybe 3-4 in the upper half with the remainder in the lower.

Obviously Reaves is at the bottom - barely standing upright (John Scott was the last Hawk's player on this rung). Lapierre, Polak and Jackhed belong on the next rung. Ott next (this is where Bollig would be). Backes and so forth.

Tarasenko and Schwartz have actually lost the protruding frontal lobes and have begun to be self aware so top half. Steen and Petrangelo are evolving but still may have trouble understanding fire etc.... top half but just barely.

Unfortunately, due to the tribal dynamic of the sub evolved, the blows tribe - even members of the top half - are required to display animalistic tendencies in order to maintain status among the physically larger, lower half of the ladder. This is also required to please their Chaos god - Hitch of the 3 chins - who, in many cave renderings, appears to be some form of fungal heap or perhaps just a squashed mushroom.

I think National Geographic is planning a stand alone episode on the origin of Lapierre.... Subject of much speculation. Could be the result of a neanderthal raping a human or some other bipedal life form (Reaves is rumored to display this fetish).

Lapierre has been mostly good in this series, sans a few dumb penalties. I was speaking more to all year, saving the money and letting others develop.

Ott has been good in the faceoff dot and thrown a couple of good hits. his touch pass if you can call it that to steen was helpful but most of his ice time has me very underwhelmed.

You realize Porter and cracks both have goals, porter has more points than ott, ott has no goals and plays a lot more minutes. combined they only have 5 more minutes than Ott in atoi.

Also, I was surprised not to see much commentary on Toews slashing Pie's stick out of his hands, all be it he seemed to have a very weak grip on it. This directly impacted the play and the goal.

Really? "Embelishment should have been called" That would have cancelled out one of your penalties, Putting your "ultra clean" team at ONE penalty for a playoff game. Ya! That needed to be called

Why does Keith's play disturb you so much? He does nothing more than what Backass does every single game. (that he gets to play in of course)

I understand the blues have some goons on their team just like every other team in the league, but really the whole team lol
berglund, tarasenko, schwartz, shattenkirk, bouwmeester, petro, leopold, roy, paajarvi, steen. I think it would have been easier to say reaves, ott, backes, jackman are goons.
