Fleury is just one of those guys who doesnt pick it up in the playoffs a-la Lundqvist, Rask, Miller. He is more in the Price and Byzgalov tier of playoff performers - GardinerExpress

I agree.
in all seriousness, if we could go back to that offseason, i'd probably keep staal and trade malkin and use malkin's return to rebuild the bottom 6 with youth.
staal seemed content on going to Carolina which was too bad, but I always thought that that was one move that the penguins would hate the most. I know it killed shero to do it.
will be interesting to see if guys like letang are still here next season. - SuperHenderson13
It was definitely a cost cutting move. They wouldn't pay him 4m+ to play 3C and he wouldn't stick around for the lack of time. The ultimate lose-lose trade.
I don't see a team taking Letang unless they are short of the floor and the return is cheap
if the Pens don't at least make the finals, a mini-rebuild is in store. Malkin for assets is the first move I would make. Bylsma is als9 coaching for his job. |

Bah! Oilers, Islanders,Flyers,Ducks,Florida and Toronto could all use him. Might have to trade salary in some cases but there will be interest if his health improves. |

What a game for the city of Columbus. This team could have caved so easily, but they are the most resilient hockey team I've ever seen. I suppose a lot of that is being young and not knowing any better. It's been a great ride all season and it's awesome to see people around the league taking notice.
In regards to Howson...he should get some props for his work here, but it wasn't until Davidson and Jarmo showed up that the "culture" changed in Columbus. It's been a noticeable change in the team and organization as a whole.
In regards to Fleury....I've never been a believer in him (even with the cup). Lots of ability, but he just seems to have a fragile mentality in net. That, and he is always good for one completely bonehead play a game.
Looking forward to Saturday....We Are The 5th Line! |

Pens win the next game 6-1 and then win game 6. It was a cute comeback, feel good and all, but no chance they win another game. |

Satan employs a trap system. The Pens dont have the right personnel for him. |

Ur really talking MEGATROLL! The way ur series is going. Things look a little different for the team in red when u cant get away with interference and ur defense is getting torn a new one . We need theirrien back at least he believes in accountability. Bylsma has run his course . Its 2 player friendly buddy buddy in the locker room. I even find myself questioning sids leadership to call out someone |

Wrong... they offered him 6 million per, he wanted to go to Carolina and lose with his brother Eric instead.... Nothing the Pens could do
Considering they are going to end up paying Sutter 4 million to play 3C, 2 million more per year for Staal seems like a bargain.... |

melodramatic much ek?
I don't really care who wins this series but this post will look pretty hilarious if Pittsburgh wins the series
also, nice being reminded tonight that Fleury is garbage |

What the pens did to clb last game was far more impressive and they didnt need to have the other teams goalie hand them two goals. That being said I still won't be telling anyone that I was there years from now
You should try to at least pretend your not a philly fan ek. I would say it will cost your site credibility but nobody comes here for anything but the forums because of your lack of credibility to begin with. |

Second best series so far this round. I was hoping for more out of the LA/SJ matchup. It would be tough to beat the STL/CHI series for pure entertainment value though. - LondonSen
I have to disagree. This series has had 4 come back games. 4 games that had 7 goals scored in them. For my money this is a better, more entertaining series. Blues/Hawks is 2nd. |

This was the first ever home playoff win. Come from behind. In OT. I don't think it's so outlandish to think people would remember this one for years to come. |

Awesome!
Way to go, jackets!
Since my bolts totally crapped the bed (eh, it was bound to happen) I hope I have CBJ to cheer for in the next round. |
