This has the Yakupov/Letang written all over it.

Financially...would be great move for Pens...frees up money to spend on forwards and resign Niskanen...and you get Yakupov in a "prove himself' year (last year of slightly less than 1M contract).

It also allows them to bring up younger d that are in the system (Orpik will likely go somewhere as well)...like Pouliot and Dumoulin.

They are definitely in a position...with Maatta and Niskanen's emergence as offensive players...to do this.

or did he only feel comfortable in telling half the rumour?
