So, you think Nick De Santis will be fired at some point?
- Pecafan Fan

possible yeah. ultimately i think this mess is on Saputo. he wanted a team that could compete right away and brought in all these old guys rather than building a team from the ground up. 3 coaches in 2.25 seasons and the third coach is already on the hot seat. they need to kind of reboot this thing.

well otherwise it's a stupid thing to post. most players never score an OT goal in the playoffs.

Not for me to say if it's stupid or not. I can only tell you that Iginla has scored OT winners in the past, but this was the first time he scored one in the playoffs.

it's stupid. i'm sure the list of players who have never scored PO OT winners includes quite a few HOFers.

Other teams have improved alot.

They brought in Bernandello who gets injured when he sneezes. Their midfielders can't control the ball.

Wenger never panned out.

HFboard poster on Daniel Carr

I watched a ton of Union games just to watch Shayne Gostisbehere. So I got to see Carr a lot and he is a good player with a quick step (good acceleration). But mainly he just has a good shot. He played on one of the PP units (Union really does not have a 1PP or 2PP, both share equal time). He would be the trigger man in the PP and he was very good at picking that top left corner, and shooting through screens. He has the potential to be a good 3rd liner who maybe produces Matt Read numbers, but he is not that good defensively (he is prone to turnovers and does make some very questionable passes). He is a good pick up for Montreal.

And some scouting reports for him

Daniel Carr, LW, Union (6’0″ 194 lbs): The 22-year-old left winger has put up 108 points over three seasons playing playing on the Dutchmen top line. Union has lost a ton of offensive firepower after last season, but taking his game to the next level, Carr hasn’t missed a beat with 17 goals and 36 points in 31 games. Carr is a sniper with an excellent wrist shot and one timer. He’s got decent skating, which is aided by his good positioning and hockey sense. Carr finds holes in the defence and sets up where he can unleash his accurate and powerful shot. He also has decent vision and playmaking skill for a winger. He has attended NHL prospect camps the last two summers, and should sign with someone shortly after the end of his senior season

Oh well...he's gotta be good.
