i don't think there's such a thing as a shallow 4-0 sweep in the NHL playoffs. - DoubleDown
Most teams with goalies with Lindbacks numbers are in the draft lottery. .891 those are Toskala numbers. |

That doesn't explain how bad the rest of the team looked, though. |

i see. so the fact that Tampa ran the table at the end of the year with Lindback in net... what's your theory on that one? i'm sure you've got a good one. |

Do you really believe that?
I don't. I wouldn't bet on Montreal beating them, but I wouldn't be so quick to discount it either.
Don't get me wrong. I picked the Bruins to win the Cup before the season started, and they emboldened their case as it progressed. I felt going into the playoffs that honor will belong to San Jose.
I have no doubt that Montreal will be Boston's greatest challenge. And I don't fully believe they'll overcome it. It will be a great series if it comes to pass. - EricEngels
i'm just not sure we match up well in a series. obviously it goes without saying that Price would need to play the series of his life. but maybe just as important, the PP would need to get going, for 2 reasons: one, i think Boston will dominate 5 v 5 play; and two, there needs to be a deterrent. if the PP doesn't scare them, you're going to see Lucic spearing guys in the nuts, Marchand sticking his knee out, Chara delivering 2-handers. we can't counter that stuff physically. |

Mtl dominated almost all periods of the series.
Thats the way to win in the playoffs.
TB might have win one with Bishop in the net. |

Tampa turned the puck over so much, they made Ottawa's troubles all year look pale by comparison. |

Twice in a month; fined for the 2nd poke. I wouldn't be shocked to see him get suspended if he does it again. |

What's your goal here? Is it to attempt to diminish the fact that the Habs are in the second round of the playoffs? |

Seriously though, I wasn't sure how the first Tampa goal counted. I looked at the play a few times, and saw Palat shove Price with his stick while simultaneously swatting at it (along with Gorges) with his glove. It was a mess in the crease; how they were able to determine that it wasn't his glove that pushed it in still baffles me. At least it wasn't a game-deciding goal. |

If he keeps yapping, perhaps Tampa will get another shot. |
