I like him too. I'm not a big Jack Johnson fan though.
- PhillySportsGuy

I like Jack Johnson in theory, but when I watch him, I wonder why nobody ever sat him down and taught him to play the game.

Honestly Im a little afraid of Columbus in the second round (if we both get there). I would be worried playing them. They should no longer be taken lightly at all. Its only a matter of time until their potential really kicks in and we really start hating them

I think a lot of it has to do with bad habits. I think they want to win and they're trying hard. They just don't work the walls well enough. Thats the type of game teams are going to play against the Pens.

I, also, think the team lacks confidence in Fleury. When he lets in a bad goal, it just drags the whole team down. They start to feel like they need to play a perfect game and not allow any scoring chances.

- PhillySportsGuy

It is impossible to not like Fleury as a person. And he deserves a world of respect for what hes done for the team in the big picture. But i would want to move on. I believe this is the last year of his deal, although Im not 100 percent. But yeah. Regardless of how this series turns out, this team does not have a serious run in them.

If I can wear the GM hat, I would make fairly large scale changes.

No Getzlaf and his team is down by 2 and he takes a 5 minute major for fighting.

His whole life his coaches have just said, "Go nuts, Kid!" In college he was basically a rover, zero structure to his game at all. Amazing physical tools, but awful hockey sense

Hes all kinds of dumb sometimes. If he was in our division he would be a player I really despise. Right now he is too far away for me to really care about him

i dont have a goalie in mind off the top of my head. but there has to be one out there. and one that can likely be signed for less than 5 a year to boot.

Halak is probably a good bet then. He will go for that price and is likely going to free agency.

Fleury is signed through next season. If they can find a better option, they can amnesty him or they can go the route of finding some competition for him.

Free agency is a bad place to find a starting goalie. Miller will be the best option but he is going to cost a lot. The Pens would need to amnesty Fleury and move more money to get him. Guys like Hiller, Halak, Elliot, Brodeur and Tim Thomas are the other options.

I doubt it, but it would be interesting. If they brought him up, and if he played well, and if they decided he was trade bait for a defenseman this offseason, his value might go up. And short of injury, it won't go down if he doesn't do well because he's a rookie getting thrown into the post-season after a long season of his own, etc.

I think he's going to be at practice tomorrow or Saturday.

Just think about all the Flyers rookies/prospects in the box suites watching the game Friday and what life must be life for those kids. That's got to be pretty sweet.

I would think long and hard about amnestying him. I think Halak is a decent option. Pass on guys like Brodeur and Thomas. I wish the team could use Doc Brown's Delorian and jump on Corey Schneider.
