Gardiner is #3 on my Leafs Defense depth chart.

#3 for a #2 which bumps Gunner to #3 from #4, when Carlyle will play #1 and #3 together anyway and leaves us with our #2 playing #3 minutes, are we really better off?

obviously he's the guy to slide down when better comes along but he has done a decent job on the top pairing all things considered.. second pairing responsibilities would probably be fairly easy for him

CHI is using oduya and Hjalmersson as shutdown pair and getting Keith and seabrook Ozone starts. I'd like to see the leafs maybe try that.

Morris makes 2.75 right now, I don't see him making much of a raise. Actually quite sad that Gunnarsson is being paid more than him. Also, I'd rather have a Niskanen at 5.5 million over Gunnar at 3 million...so it would basically be like spending 2.5 million to upgrade one over the other....worth it in my opinion.

Oh... Gunner has outscored him in every year the last 4 years (71pts in 261 games =.23pts/ game for Gunner. 55pts in 238 games =.23pts/game for morris) and is a +6 to his -22.
