I think he'll take the LA Kings route. Acquire enough high value assets through the draft, keep the ones you want and package the others for established talent. I just hope he doesn't bring in too many long term deals.

I think he means comparing with what dale Tallon is doing with his rebuild. Not what poopty management before him did!

Tallon his built this team from the ground up. We just have been set back so many year by guys like Mike Keenan and Jacques Martin. Those guys were brutal.

Yes, by one year, giving them a total of 4 playoff appearances in their 20 year history. I do like the job Tallon is doing though. I'm with Terry on the standard of being built as Stanley Cups. We are both building.

And it took them how long to do it? Look at all of Florida's FA pick-ups. They're all old players probably looking for a nice location to kick-back their feet. I'm not saying Buffalo is the cultural Mecca, but at least both the front office, and fan-base make it very clear that the goal of this team is to be successful, and build on that.

I'm not disparaging Florida, the Panthers, or their fans, but the Panthers have never really given the league any indication that they want to (or perhaps they simply don't have the tools) to get any better - or even draw additional fan interest.

Try watching a Florida game in October. There's no one there.

Ya try having the team we have had for the last 20 years and maybe you would understand why it can hard to draw people.

And plus you can say we have been rebuilding for however long, but it doesn't change the fact this team has never had the kind of talent it has right now, before Tallon got here.
