Off topic but St. Louis seems like the place for ex-Sabres hey?

Leopold, Miller, Ott, and Roy am I Missing someone?

Minny is getting up there as well...

Moulson, McCormick and Pominville. Probably add Vanek to that list too.

yup just as i stated, and I was at those games, and they would announce the lines. And Drury was a 3rd line center. But i understand that some of you guys hate when your opinions are wrong.
- TaroTsujimoto

I was at those games too and saw Drury on the ice more than any other forward.

its not but thats okay, and if you used the slightest bit of logic, it would be obvious. Drury and Grier were both defensively sound and responsible, which is why they filled the 3rd line role much better than connolly and vanek did, with their defensive liabilities.
- TaroTsujimoto

Your 3rd center doesn't have to be the best or strictly your defensive center

Guys like Bergeron, Datsyuk, Kopitar, Stastny all draw top defensive responsibilities while being top 6 centers

I used my eyes.

Vanek played on the 3rd line his 1st two years.

Drury wasn't his center.

Therefor Drury wasn't a 3rd line centerman.

What's your opinion on Callahan? No arguing just wondering.

You want him here?

- sbroads24

Im fine with him here. The team has so much money, it wouldnt matter if he makes 6.5 million over 6 years. The cap keeps raising at a absurd amount each year, and by the time we would have to play some of our young players, we would still have the cap to do it.
He is a 3rd line player, who would be playing on the 2nd line on a team that is as bad as the Sabres. I have no problem having a guy come in here and showing some of these young kids what it actually takes to be in the NHL. Which is why I would also love to see the sabres go out and give a 1 year crazy offer to Jagr. Thats a guy who works out like a horse, and I would hope his gym ethics would rub off on other players, such as Myers.

What worries me about Cally is 3-4 years from now what his health will be like.

Jagr I would love on a 1 year deal

This might be the last year the cap jumps that much with the Canadian dollar falling. Only time will tell. I'm not interested in signing a guy for 6-7 mil for 7 yrs. When we need him most he'll more than likely be useless taking up cap space.

IMO we already have a Callahan type guy in Girgensons.

I think the Canadian Dollar will stabilize, but that's a different argument completely. Nobody should be signed to a contract longer than 3 years on this team as it's constructed now.

IMO you want a guy like those two on lines 2-4. They create space for the other two linemates and crash the net. At this point in there careers, Callahan > Girgs> Kaleta. One on two, one on three, and the last on four. Creating space, hitting anything in site, and agitating all other 5 players on the ice.

And I dont expect it to jump like this every year, but IMO in a league such as the NHL, where its going up 2-3 million every year is absurd.

Even if it does, I'd expect the cap to jump 4 mil on a year to year basis compared to the 7-8 that we were seeing.

I started watching the flyers/rags.

Did they tie it up?

Good for them. Shouldn't go down 2-0 in a do or die at home, but glad they found some pride.

Not if the Conservatives stay in power in Canada. They have a target of 75 cents.

Don't want to turn this political but i highly doubt they stay in power, let alone a majority. The average canadian over 30 will take one look at the last name of the liberal leader and have an orgasm.

Good God when did this become english class?
- Sabresfan-365

It became a hybrid English/Latin class. We like to classify things as those here.
