What did you guys do when Brad May scored the "May Day Goal"

Brad May scored a goal. He still was only used for one reason when he played hockey, he wasn't a great player.

I liked May, Ray Barnaby when they played. That was a different time though.

He's a good player who I would LOVE if we drafted him.

However if I was a running a team, I wouldn't want him as one of my 4 or 5 best players

Sure enough. I think the rule of thumb is that you don't grab a guy at the peak of his market rate. You grab him at the peak of his production.

I can agree with that. One of those guys who are great to have till theyre too expensive

100% agree, if he have as good of scouting as tpegs has put money into since hes been here. Shouldn't they target 2-3 future "Callahans" by now? I dont suspect blockbusters but shouldnt they have some non nhl'ers they want to go grab

A 33 year old that will be broken down at that point with his style of play . Yes , why would we want him at 7 million a year ?

Timing is bad, he's a nice piece to the puzzle but we haven't opened the box yet, we'd have to overpay the next overpayment to get him to come here and wait 3 years, he's a slightly more talented David Clarkson.

he isnt a forth liner, he is one of the best 3rd liners in the NHL, fringe 2nd liner. And thats not even debatable. Remember when Drury used to center the 3rd line and people were mad he didnt take our 7 million dollar offer?
