that doesnt change the fact that callahan has been more production than St Louis since the trade. I constantly read sbroads24 comments how useless and overrated Callahan is, yet since he has been traded, he has a higher point total than St Louis. Not to mention Callahan does all the dirty things St Louis cant(due to size)/or doesnt do.
- TaroTsujimoto

It was recouping a younger player for an older superstar, and given the circumstance, Tb did well... iF they can resign Callahan. Over a 20-game stretch things will happen, and St Louis is getting pretty old. But it would take more than 20 games for me to say that TB won that trade, especially since it doesn't look like they'll be getting any more opportunities for him to show up this year.

I guess you missed where Stamkos was hurt for 4 months and St. Louis still had a PPG production.....
- sbroads24

I guess you missed that since st louis has been traded, callahan has been just as productive as st louis....

You are using a tiny sample size.

Just as you did with Miller yesterday.

You refuse to acknowledge that St. Louis production has been much much better than Callahan's over both of their entire career.

St. Louis has had 100 point seasons..... Callahan has yet to clip 60

Honestly i think he's somewhere in between, I think he's better than good but I wouldn't call him elite...yet. But yes that team seems to be balanced everywhere on the depth chart.

Let's make the sample size even smaller.

Callahan has done more in the last hour than St. Louis has

- sbroads24

its the only sample size we have, but then again, some people dont like facts.

I love him helped win my fantasy league. But hes not winning hardware anytime soon. Hes in the middle of the road. Who knows maybe a better goalie comes along maybe not. BUt they will be a playoff team for many many moons

so you add those 3 and callahan still has more points? sbroads24 is saying how Callahan is half as productive as st louis, yet the sats say they are even since being traded. It may be a small sample size, but it is the only measurement we have of their production.
- TaroTsujimoto

Well, Callahan IS half as productive as St Louis, as the stats show.

St Louis was a point per game player in Tampa. Not only did he benefit from playing with Stamkos, but all the other players benefited from playing with St Louis too. Are you going to argue with me that St Louis didnt make the other players better than Callahan does?

Callahan is half the player in Tampa as St Louis was. Tampa doesnt have problems blocking shots and throwing hits. They have a problem scoring in the playoffs. Something St Louis is doing well for NYR. 4 pts in 3 games now.

No i am using the only stats that are relevant, the ones since the trade. You cannot take stats from 5 years ago when youre saying how bad the trade is and callahan is half as productive. Why, you my ask? Well because the past behavior has zero effect on the future outcome, since both players are not playing on different teams.
