I know you guys hate Boyle, must he phenomenal on the PK, especially the one blocking shots. When will the officials call Giroux for putting in the faceoff dot?
- airjan23

Even I'm coming around on the guy and I've wanted him gone for 2 years

I know that anytime a coach gets fired or let go he tends to get crapped on by the fanbase, but I have to say that tonight we saw a little of what John Tortorella left behind here. The Rangers paid the price tonight.

Is it just me, or does McDonagh look off. Got to think that shoulder isnt fully healed.

That mindset is still engrained in them. Boyle even said it between periods. About getting in lanes and blocking shots.

Thanks Jan, wanted to make sure it wasn't just me being critical. I heard Sam say he had a great game, and I was thinking, huh..

As for the whole Marty-Callahan trade, we have to be happy about it now. Dude has been great. Now we just need Nash to get going, and that line will be incredible.

Absolutely, his heart is all there, just not used to seeing alot of the mistakes with the puck, as you said. And I guess thats when the shoulder would bother him the most.

But the things he refused to do is what really got him fired. He did leave a great defensive foundation. But he refusal to roll 4 lines, leave the lines they way they were for more than one game and turning the blind eye towards the power play. So while he turned this team into a defense first team, gotta credit AV for allowing them not to be a afraid to take a chance, offensively of course.

Nash 4 points
Stepan 4 points
St. Louis 5 points
Richards 4 points

Top players are delivering so far I would say

I think Step & Marty are driving that line, want to see Nash be more dominant. Cant complain though, the vets are doing what they get paid to do.

female dog slapped the Flyers tonight, and Berube is being out-coached. Playing Couturier, and that 3rd line more than the star players. Far too focused on the defensive side of the puck and reactionary.

Good game for you guys, see you in game 4!

I wanted him gone. I'm not saying he should have stayed. He had all kinds of faults. But, he also left some good things behind. That's all I'm really saying. Torts made a lasting contribution to this franchise, as did Tom Renney before him.

Don't think it's the shoulder, it's timing and decision making

It's like the two would make a great combo, Torts left a lasting impression on these guys to go along with the job AV has done, anyone who doesn't recognize that doesn't get what it takes

Tip to AV on the insertion of Carcillo, to me he's playing as effective as he was in Phoenix

I understood completely.

My post was basically an agreement with you. Torts roster was changed and his style grew out of touch with some of his player. What he instilled was work ethic and for that I'm grateful.

The referee pushed Carcillo away from him when he was arguing that penalty call of insanity not the other way around. First time I have seen that one
