A bit of a surprise: The only two players in the lineup who don't have a point yet are Bouillon... and Markov.

Galchenyuk could do well next to Brière against weaker competition.
- DrRecchi

exactly. and like i said, he doesn't belong on Plekanec's line.

Markov's points come from the PP. he's not the offensive player he used to be... he's a much different player at this stage of his career.

Point is, I saw him slide out of position on more than one occasion, something he barely did all season long. I just think he was nervous but hopefully he'll settle down.

He did great saves, at very important moments, that's not even a question.

he'll need to be at his absolute best for Montreal to even make it a series against Boston. they're going to have puck 60% of the time.

don't let the fact that we just beat Anders Lindback cloud your judgment. goals will be at a premium in the next round and we might need that extra oomph.

He'll have to be at least as good as Rask.

And Rask is very, very good.

I don't think that's what he meant.

What I understand is that THE LEAGUE opens itself to criticism when assigning a local referee in Montreal.

And let's face it... every time a call goes the Habs way, it's because there's a french referee on the ice.

Ask stormey.

That's what is outrageous, that people are even allowed to dispute the integrity of the refs because of their origins. If that's not discriminatory...

That matter never comes up when it comes to Americans reffing a game between a Canadian team and an American, or even a Habs/Leafs game TO manned by an Ontarian.

There shouldn't be double standards, anyway, the stats apparently prove otherwise, that the Habs aren't particularly advantaged when it's a local ref reffing.

Sadly it's an idea widespread around the league.

Palat kicks ass. That's all I got from the series...and he can fly.

Quite the player indeed. He'll be a pain in the ass in this division for a long time.

Yeah, that's not at all what he said. It's more fun to think he said that, I get it. But that's not what he said.

The above being true, he should have said nothing on the subject, because nothing good can come of it.

- hscesq

Truth be told, at that time last night I hadn't seen what Maclean said. I just pasted what I saw on my Twitter feed.

See Salt Lake City Olympics, the women overcame the horrendous officiating.
