he's in a tough spot though. i don't know how many teams can lose their workhorse goalie and win a playoff series. Lindback certainly has not been their biggest problem. in fact he's the only reason the game was tied when the goal was disallowed. but a guy like Bishop makes up for an awful lot of deficiencies on your backend.

the backend is killing them. they can't win a 50-50 puck--not even against the Habs. No solution back there.

Part of the reason the rule exists is to protect the goalies. They shouldn't forget that because of one goal no matter how big.
- habby

True. But by the same token, the goalies shouldn't be allowed to exploit the very rule that was implemented to protect them.

yeah he looks pretty flustered too.

rookie coach, young team, injured no. 1 goalie.

It's Stamkos or nothing for them I guess.

i thought the comment he made about Montreal blowing 2-0 leads before made him seem a bit desperate, like he was trying to convince himself more than take a dig at Montreal. it's not like this is the same team as the 2011 team.

Seriously. Imagine if Price was injured. It's a completely different series.

Great let's invent a new "diving" penalty.

If Bouillon tries to stop Kilborn from going to the net the goal counts, but he doesn't. Kilborn skates himself into the net. I don't think it should matter what Price does next. Goalies should always have priority to that space.

especially the way Eller and Bourque are playing. they could not have been expecting these guys to show up like they have. but that then creates a mismatch with their defencemen. when you can get 2 big, physical forwards with some speed and skill playing on your third line, you'll inevitable exploit guys like Brewer.

food for thought: If Alex Galchenyuk returned to health, he probably would be a healthy scratch right now.

He could replace Prust.

Therrien won't bench a vet. Need some forward toughness.
