I think the 2-0 lead skewed how well it appeared Columbus was playing. They didn't really generate many good chances most of the game. I wouldn't have been comfortable as a CBJ fan at 2-0 late in the 2nd

I can only imagine the comments if this was Mason or Emery giving up 3 goals on 3 shots.

2 of them looked to be deflected; nothing Bob could do on the 4th goal, but the 3rd (I think) needs to be stopped, same with Orpik's goal before the end of the 2nd.

Either way, Pitt is just not a scary team to play right now. Maybe they need 8 powerplays per game to really get it going.

once again, regardless of the outcome. columbus was the better team. it is impossible to not be impressed with them right now. they still have been pouring out the heart, but they showed me skill and hands tonight that i didnt know they really had. that little poop dubinksy just straight walked 2 defenders at the end.

Dubinsky looks like the only jacket with a playoff gear. Would be a great upset but Columbus should be happy to have a cup of tea with these kids

thats exactly the type of attitude that would allow them to beat the pens or flyers though.

Not really they sagged and froze Bigtime once it was 3-2. Wide eyed all around. Learning experiences for all of them

i wouldnt count them out by any means. they arent exactly doe eyed out there. The pens got lucky on a couple shots from the point. the BJs still hit everything in sight. malkin finally started to dictate possession in the third, but i mean about (frank)ing time.

and even though bob had that crappy minute and change, the dude still stopped like 30 of 31 or something in that ballpark. the pens powerplay is still god awful.

i dont think the flyers would wilt physically. guys like simmonds would be there to score the dirty goals that the pens just dont. but if the flyers allowed the jackets to outwork them, they could make it a series.

It's great to see, but the flags and arms in the cameras is kind of annoying.

Flyers didn't match up well against them for whatever reason. Im hoping you guys pull it out if we move on

Ideally if flyers beat the rangers the path of least resistance is penguins then Habs

oh yeah. unless something really gels in the minds of the pens, they are going to have a very tough time with you guys next round should the stars align that way.

Yeah probably a good idea.

Im more mad at the fact that the Flyers didn't take the cheapshots your team has become so good at as payback.

I guess schooling you guys in another playoff series would more than make up for it. Let's hope both our teams make it to the next round

im not saying the pens are choir boys. for some reason, it only seems to really surface against you guys. they become spoiled little children. theres been a lot of stuff that theyve done matched up against the flyers that i find despicable, but i think that play was more result based than anything.

i wouldnt have been appalled should a flyer have wrecked him, but i dont think it was a marauding, bloodthirsty play either. i realize my opinion will be automatically discounted, but i really dont think in the big picture i have come on here, or anywhere, displaying quantities of bias.

im sure. ive always thought about that for professional athletes with god awful names. like they were probably great at sports growing up, so they were probably always "the man", but im curious as to how much ribbing they actually took.
