I just watched the disallowed Tampa goal.

Wow, if that was the Flyers I would have exploded.

Awful.

Price (frank)ed up there royally, ref bailed him out.

- Marc D

I agree. No way should that goal have been disallowed.

Nah it wasn't that bad. The rulebook says that the onus is on the player in the net to get the hell out of the crease. He laid there for a while and probably should have gotten an interference penalty for the initial (although small) contact with the goalie.

I feel better about Mason though. He's overcome a lot. I don't think a bad goal is going to unravel him.

There is a much greater standard deviation with Mason. He may be spectacular or bad. Emery will be steady, but won't make many post to post saves unless he really anticipates the pass coming.

I would rather go with Mason though. I feel the team is going to need above average goaltending to win the series. Emery was certainly above average yesterday, but I worry about his ability to consistently come up with the big saves in big moments.

- PhillySportsGuy

The marginal difference between Mase and Razor is there, but not sure it's quite significant enough to swing the series one way or another, especially considering how Hank hasn't played particularly well yet.

I'd be more concerned with bigger problems like the penalty differential, the shot/possession differential, and the consistently lousy d-zone coverage leading to A+ chances against.

If the Flyers don't improve in those aspects, they could have Dominik Roy in net and it might not matter.

I am rooting for Montreal but that goal is very disturbing.

I mean TB has nearly zero chance now, and it could have been 2-1 instead of 0-3 based on a completely blown call. It wasn't even close.

an empty net goal should be regestered as a sh goal

PK Subban blocked him from leaving.
Price had time to recover, and in fact Price gets up and initiates contact with the TB player. Awful awful call.

If St. Louis sweeps Chicago in the next two games does the remaining game of Seabrook's suspension carry over to next season?

I mean I think it should have been a goal, but the ref called it by how the rulebook states it should be. Subban is allowed to be where he is. The player in the crease is not.

In all honesty, without Bishop, I really don't think Tampa had much of a chance no matter what. But no doubt, they got royally screwed on that call.

I'll be honest. Flyers gave me no hope of winning this series the way they played game one. Game two, hope is restored, but I am a long way away from believing they have anything won.

I really liked how Streit played yesterday, he was getting physical with the Rags forwards which was nice to see and was putting his stick to good use as well on them. Most Physical I have seen him this year.

I see what you are saying here.

The play just looks really bad when Subban is setting up a block to prevent the guy from leaving, and then Price actively goes out of his way to initiate contact with the guy.

If I were a TB fan I would have a hard time moving past that non goal.

Can I just say I want to reach through the radio and strangle Michael Barkhan? Thats what I get for putting wip on for more than 30 seconds.

Mason is soft..
shouldn't take his time...
nobody can be 100% in the playoffs...
don't let the door hit you on the way out..

seriously? the media in this town is horrible at best. Thats why bogs and bots will be reporting instead of the beat writers in less than 2 years.
