goals per game after the olympic break - 2.40 (22 games)

goals/game whole year 2.71.

GAA after the olympics - 3.36

GAA whole year 3.07

there was a larger drop in goals for than rise in GAA.

It's the combination of the 2 that hurt.

Not good RT @dchesnokov: Anton Belov told @plysenkovRUS that he didn't want to stay in Edmonton under Dallas Eakins. #Oilers

I am not sure on Trotz myself, if he fits with this team.

Dineen had the same crap Goaltending

this Carlyle model does not work anymore

- senstroll

Of all of them, I would take Dineen. Give him a shot.

But I dont think RC is getting fired.

Who cares if and when he won cup.

How many of the possible replacement coaches have cups?

Replace the no heart sh!tty players first.

Under Wilson, it was Wilson's fault.
Pretty much the same core and some supporting player...under RC...its RC's fault.

I have no issue with replacing RC.....but if you dont replace a big chunk of the players......you are going to get the same result a half a season to a full season down the road.

We should all be hoping for a Habs Bruins matchup ...

Just imagine, knees to the head, shots to the groin... anything goes! No suspensions possible.

in todays NHL 3 goals should be more than enough to win.

how many 3 goal games did they have?

- Dozzer

that maybe true, but how many more points would they have had if they scored 4 goals 42 percent of the time, like they did before the break

I actually think we might have been better under RW than RC this past year.

We'd still have no defense, but at least the offense would have more of a game, plus we had better possession under RW

I understand that losing = no heart to most fans. I dont really buy into that crap.
Its not something you can even say is a thing. What is heart? slamming your stick when you miss a shot? Defending the water bottle? Seabrook taking out Backes?

I just read a good article breaking down the system the leafs play.. every player on the team does the same thing.. this to me doesnt scream the Team has no heart. they are doing what they are told. It doesnt work. Well it does sometimes when you get hot shooting from Phil and .970 from Bernier. then Phil and Bernier have heart I guess that game.

I was all for firing wilson also at the time. I have since changed some of the thinking on that. He wasnt as bad as I thought at the time. being able to dig deeper with a lot of the stats now helps.

There’s already been some talk in this market that the youngster could fill the hole potentially left in the lineup if Dave Bolland doesn’t re-sign, but that’s a bit premature. Few late first round centres step into the NHL as teenagers, and Gauthier’s hardly dominated junior to the point where it looks like that’s a realistic possibility.
