Same things the Leafs need to do with Randy?
- TheThrill

nah.. Eakins is more flexible.... tries to use more of the tools out there available to him, will change and adapt

randy is still using the same game plan he was 10 years ago.. opposition coaches have figured out how to beat it

anyone else see a resemblance between Jon Cooper and Dallas Eakins? (once you get beyond Eakins' ridiculous hair)

lol

not a big loss at all... see ya later.

all the oilers have to do is stand by eakins. make the players realize they cant chase this coach out of town

- Dozzer

If they don't, the guy that comes in behind him is screwed to begin with.

exactly

he obviously has issues with some of those kids.... (the incident with hall)

it might be time for oilers management to move one of the young studs to make a point.. the return they would get would be massive and the remaining guys would realize they arent in charge... win win.

doubt the oilers brass has the balls to do it tho.

i wouldnt move kadri for spezza.. kadri scored 50P this season.. spezza in his second year: 55

be patient folks

besides.. the problem with the leafs is keeping pucks out, not putting them in.. spezza in no way addresses that

- Dozzer

oh there was a huge problem with putting pucks in after the Olympic break

nuh uh, before the break they had 25 4 goal games, after the break they had 1

how many times did they just need that 1 goal to tie it?
didn't happen once

oh yes.. i guess the point i am trying to make is the focus needs to be on bringing in guys who will keep the puck out, not more offensive talent with defensive issues.

in todays NHL 3 goals should be more than enough to win.

how many 3 goal games did they have?

Should have kept eakins.

- burn

Oh darn. The russkie sieve doesn't want to play in Edmonton anymore. Sure hope we can find someone else to turn the puck over 20 times a game and give up 2 on 1s. Our D is in short supply now!

They'll move Yak. Maybe Eberle gets traded, but RNH and Hall are lifers.

goals per game after the olympic break - 2.40 (22 games)

goals/game whole year 2.71.

GAA after the olympics - 3.36

GAA whole year 3.07

there was a larger drop in goals for than rise in GAA.

They'll get nothing for Yak. Good return for Ebs.
