I'm currently still drunk debating a McDonald's run, don't judge me it was my birthday last night.

Edit I just noticed my ex just left me two big glasses of water

Yes they are. Its a fun game, just accept that you will, at some point, have a big dude step on your hand, leg or face

And I'm with you, I don't want spezza here. We already have Lupe's made of glass, we don't need another guy...

i wouldnt move kadri for spezza.. kadri scored 50P this season.. spezza in his second year: 55

be patient folks

besides.. the problem with the leafs is keeping pucks out, not putting them in.. spezza in no way addresses that

I am leaning heavily this way also... the only reason to trade Kadri is if the organization does not like his work ethic? The I do not know who we could trade him for?

it would be a mistake to move kadri at this point in time

especially since you can pretty safely bank on 50P for less than 3 million cap hit.

the leafs are going to be tight again this year so why move out a guy who actually alleviates some of the cap stress? doesnt make sense.

also.. the leafs get far older at a position they arent exactly deep in.

the leafs need to shore up their defensive play.. everything else is secondary to that.

just read an article on the possible coaches..same names were have been talking about Boucher, Laviolette, Dineen, Spott, Trotz

after reading more on each. My picks would be down to Dineen or Laviolette

Lavy never had a worthwhile goalie in Philly, so I'd be interested to see what he could do here.

I like the idea of Trotz teaching defense to some of the D prospects we have in the system, but don't know if he's the right coach for this club.

Who knows what they are gonna do. Knowing our luck, they will sit tight, keep Carlyle, preach patience and get a top 10 pick next year

Probably the word "bunch".

But it wasn't sarcasm, they were far and away the most entertaining thing/team to watch in Sochi.

Their never quit attitude was impressive.

I am not sure on Trotz myself, if he fits with this team.

Dineen had the same crap Goaltending

As coach of the Panthers, Dineen led the 2011-12 squad to a division title. Admittedly, that division was awful (SouthLeast), but he was coaching the hockey team equivalent to an ugly quilt, with the Panthers signing every UFA on the market to stupid deals. But the underlying numbers are interesting. They finished the season 13th in FenwickClose (50.4%), with a PDO just south of 100 (so the numbers wouldn't seem to be based on luck). Last season, the team absolutely tanked and dropped to 17th in FenwickClose (49.2%, still not awful), with a PDO of 94.9(!!!). The goaltending, quite simply, was atrocious.

this Carlyle model does not work anymore

yeah, they played some great hockey... those girls had more fight in their pinky fingers than the leafs had collectively as a team.
