I like your blogs, and believe you wrote with emotion tonight. You call things as you see them, and for the most part are very impartial.

I hate that Stamkos was boo'd. At first glance when watching live, I didn't see the knee, and thought Stamkos was flopping from the bump from Prust. Perhaps that's why they were booing (although still not warranted if that was the case, but less insensitive). I don't think the knee was intentional, that is not Montreal's MO... Neal has a history of dirty play. I like Stamkos, and hope he is ok. As a Habs fan, if we are going to win, I want it to be a fair win against your best.

The non-goal... very tough... I'd be very upset if it was the other way around. But, it wasn't Montreal players, or fans, that made that call. Every team deals with tough calls, the timing of this one is what hurts the most for you guys.

I thought Lindback played great tonight... other than the first goal. He thwarted several Montreal scoring chances in the first, and at other points in the game.

Not all habs fans are jerks.... looking forward to an intense game 4..... cheers.

Was a miracle they didn't boo the American national anthem. I'm assuming they were smart enough to remember who their captain is

Complete Bell Centre special from the officials tonight … From the many non-calls against the Habs (typical in Montreal), the phantom offsides on Stamkos when he was in alone, the phantom "goaltender interference" that negated the goal …

What a (frank)ing joke. One of the worst one-sided officiating snow jobs I've seen in a long, long time. The NHL ought to be ashamed at the joke of a product they presented to the fans tonight.

Tonight presents one hell of a case for the use of video review in the NHL ...

you're right... but we've all seen this all to often before...

now the Lightning will compensation calls - usually at meaningless junctures - "to balance things out"...

and they'll creep back in the series, perhaps winning one, I doubt they can win two.

then Habs wrap it up.

no different than the game the Habs won over Ottawa that ended Ottawa's season, and built the Habs confidence.

call it coincidence, call it luck, call it whatever you like.

it just does seem to happen fairly consistently for the Habs.

nope - not me.

credit the officials... that's what I'm doing... not blaming them for anything.

You had no idea what happened with Malone. Just "blogged" something for your benefit. That's not journalism or responsible.

What happens if Yzerman gives him a second chance and he comes out flying, and you somehow have access to the team to talk with Ryan? If he miraculously read your "blog", what are the chances he talks to you? Its a stupid move.

JJ was good at the Lightning blog and left because he took writing seriously. I get that you're trying to get a good following but you're going about it poorly.

I had no idea what happened to Malone? There was an arrest report. He was arrested for driving drunk and possessing cocaine. It's pretty black and white.

What happens if Yzerman gives him a second chance? Then Yzerman gives him a second chance. I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. I think it would be a mistake. That's my opinion. I don't think that sort of behavior should be welcome around the team. Sue me. I'm not alone. It's my opinion that the best thing for Malone and the team is to have him go away and get the help he needs.

It's not exactly like Malone's on-ice performance has earned him a second chance though.

If I was just interested in getting a following, I promise you that I'd be far edgier than I currently am. And, as said, I'd probably take up blogging for a team with a bigger, more established fan base. I don't support drunk driving. Sorry.

After calming down a bit, I concede that by the letter of the law, the TB goal could be considered no goal. The fact that I say "could be" is the problem here. The refs and Price are hiding behind a rule that:

A. Seems way too subjective
B. Is being enforced for the wrong purpose

Price had plenty of time to get into position, he chose not to and let himself get hindered by Killorn so the possibility of a "no-goal" could be called. I would also go as far to say that the reason Killorn was in the crease is because he was sent flying into it by a Montreal player and did his best to avoid the goalie and get out of the crease as soon as he could.

The purpose of the rule is so someone can't stand in the crease and give the goalie a good shove out of the way. While I understand the need to protect goalies, they're also trying to find ways for more goals to be scored.

One more thing, I would also say Price was out of position cause he was flopping all over the place, not cause he was "tripped up" by Killorn

As a fellow fan, i understand your fustration. I thought the exact same thing in the heat at the moment and called BS on the no-goal call. But after some research, id have to say that the referee made the right call according to the rules. Its the rule itself that is plain bad: ---69.3 Contact Inside the Goal Crease http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=26480 . Ref made the right choice but
I personnaly think the goal should have counted.
As for the Stamkos incident, Emelin did try to do something instead of the supposely "Zero effort". Looking at the actual play, he took the small frame of second to try to jump over stamkos (failed miserably and actually made things worse). And please calm down with the "lack of class" the habs fans showed. After the booing , you can actually hear the cheer of the Bell centre building. The booing was not directed at Stamkos, it was for the fact that PRUST was sent to the box for roughing.

I'd buy that if there wasn't an accompanying "Stamkos" chant.

Please, just because it happened at the same time doesnt mean all 22 000 habs fans/non habs fans were thinking the same thing?
The booing (still for the prust penalty) lasted for like what? 2-3sec?And then what? Intense booing to a absolutly likeable player who never did a thing to us?
Dont tell me there was no cheering afterwards.

That still doesn't explain the Stamkos chanting/jeering.

EDIT - And never said that all 22,000 on hand were a part of the booing/chanting.

It's...

The kind of stuff that shouldn't happen to a guy like Stamkos.

I'd get it if it was Lucic or Chara... but not Stamkos.

Chanting/jeering "Staaaaaamkos" was for the Prust penalty?

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

i'm not a ref basher but damn! they were bad! killorn was not in the crease and subban was the reason he took longer to get out! another call when they said montreal kept the puck in the zone the whole puck crossed over the blueline! but I still blame the lightning they showed up to play playoff hockey in the 3rd game! where were they in games one and two ? Can steve yzerman see this team needs help on defense and can't break out of the zone yet ? I see it fans see it! come on stevie you have the cap room this summer do something about this!

No we have to disagree on the fact that the bell centre was booing Stamkos.
No intention to do so whatsoever.
The prust penalty was utter bullpoop for most of us because he got roughed by Gudas i believe and we simply booed it.
If we truly were booing Stamkos, all Quebec would of heard it.
People started cheering right after they realize stamkos chant/stamkos gets up.

Allright. I agree to that one. My bad.
Its just that, without "SOME Montreal fans", it makes it look like a sophism intended to habs fan in general (having lack of class and all). Sorry for that
