i disagree with the non-goal call, and i've been a goalie for over 30 years. tough to swallow if you're a bolts fan. all you can do is keep playing.

Wow people like you have some serious issues and are a big reason I rarely post on forums anymore. Hiding behind a forum username.

Have some decency and respect. You can get your point across without having to try and belittle someone else and insult someone you don't agree with. Grow up and realize there's a right way to treat people and a wrong way.

Reference the Malone blog and you'll see where I'm coming from. He trashed the guy without knowledge of the situation. And he didn't care, just wanted to get some clicks.

Some team is going to pay Callahan $6MM+ and regret it.

in fairness, Clarkson gets one more year to get his poop together. If he lays another egg like he did this year. Panic button activated.

Yes, because criticizing a guy for possessing cocaine and driving drunk (endangering others) was so very wrong of me.

If I wanted clicks, I can assure you that I'd be blogging about a team like the Leafs, Canadiens, Canucks, Oilers... any Canadian team.

A team should never leave a playoff hockey game wondering about a bad call that significantly changed the outcome though. That call was bush league.

Of course every Hab fan is going to hang onto Ron Maclean's point of view like it's gospel and disregard that every other hockey mind on CBC said it was a bad call AS well as every analyst on TSN.

Ron's a rec referee, of course he's going to side with the ref. Zebra's stick together

I don't have the numbers in front of me, so apologies if I'm wrong. Isn't it true that he got way less PP time in Toronto than he did in New Jersey?

How many years before Phaneuf gets the eject button?

Clarkson was playing great hockey in Jersey because of the system.

NJ actually has a system...

That's definitely a fair statement. I don't have the stats either but I watched probably 70-80 percent of the games and our first pp unit usually gets 70 percent of each powerplay which consists of JVR, Bozak and Kessel and our second pp usually had something like Kadri, lupul and Raymond. I don't remember Clarkson ever getting pp time. If he did, it was very seldom.

He never had first powerplay time. Even if he had second pp time. he may have gotten 30-40 seconds at the most per powerplay. Kessel and the boys usually suck up 80 percent of every pp. I know cause dumbass Phaneuff never gets the (frank) off the ice. Stupid idiot. Him and Franson together are poison on the pp.

Yet it took Carlyle till the end of the season to figure it out

You had no idea what happened with Malone. Just "blogged" something for your benefit. That's not journalism or responsible.

What happens if Yzerman gives him a second chance and he comes out flying, and you somehow have access to the team to talk with Ryan? If he miraculously read your "blog", what are the chances he talks to you? Its a stupid move.

JJ was good at the Lightning blog and left because he took writing seriously. I get that you're trying to get a good following but you're going about it poorly.

He probably is but why is it every coach has great defensive teams until they get to Toronto. When does it become a player problem and not a coaching problem.

Wilson had great defensive responsible teams before Toronto, same with Carlyle.

Maurice had the same problem with McCabe and company yet he always seems pretty successful in that area since leaving Toronto.

Randy made mistakes this year but I'm not so sure a new coach makes Franson or Phaneuf's hockey IQ any better. They will still be big, awkward, stupid defensemen.

The new coach will also have a ton of forwards who don't want to battle along the boards and just want to rush the puck. That puts a lot more stress on a defense that is already suspect.

I like your blogs, and believe you wrote with emotion tonight. You call things as you see them, and for the most part are very impartial.

I hate that Stamkos was boo'd. At first glance when watching live, I didn't see the knee, and thought Stamkos was flopping from the bump from Prust. Perhaps that's why they were booing (although still not warranted if that was the case, but less insensitive). I don't think the knee was intentional, that is not Montreal's MO... Neal has a history of dirty play. I like Stamkos, and hope he is ok. As a Habs fan, if we are going to win, I want it to be a fair win against your best.

The non-goal... very tough... I'd be very upset if it was the other way around. But, it wasn't Montreal players, or fans, that made that call. Every team deals with tough calls, the timing of this one is what hurts the most for you guys.

I thought Lindback played great tonight... other than the first goal. He thwarted several Montreal scoring chances in the first, and at other points in the game.

Not all habs fans are jerks.... looking forward to an intense game 4..... cheers.
