For what it's worth, that was a good goal. The real question is, would have Tampa won the game if that goal would have been allowed. Not sure about that one. I was expecting a bunch of powerplays for Tampa to make up for the allowed but the refs feel it was the right call! When that's the case, there isn't much you can do.

Not saying they would have won...not me. TB battled back hard and no, it wasn't pretty...but they didn't quit and they deserved the chance to finish it out the right way in overtime....then all bets are off.

My real question is: I was expecting Tampa in 6... what the hell happened ?

How the "heck" can you come to that specific conclusion unless the facts were calculated based on the desired result. It would take the type of ultra slow motion with time stamps to even have a chance to calculate that.

I think he had time to pull up and get out of the way. You don't. We'll never know. It's called an opinion.

They sh*t the bed and forgot how to get the puck past center ice. That plus the fact that Montreal has been excellent since day one.

OT? the disallowed goal was at 1-1

why do people think the rest of the game would of been played the same way as it did?

Did you expect Bourque to be any good?

Goaltending has been the least of their problems. This is on the skaters.

When Bourque is outproducing Stamkos, you know Tampa is struggling.

Yup.

The D is "compensating" for the "bad goaltending" while the goalie is "compensating" for the D not playing D.

Bourque's been playing hard.

Something Habs fans haven't seen since Habs traded for him.

And it's 2-1 in the LA-SJ game ( great game TBH)

"That no-goal call was particularly interesting when you consider a few things. First of all, notice that PK Subban effectively blocks Alex Killorn from vacating the crease. Secondly, take note of how the official who waives off the goal seemingly has no problem with the contact until the puck was put in the net. It was a delayed call. Finally, do you honestly believe that Price was impeded on that play? He had time to get back in position, and he essentially did. As nearly every reputable media personality, including each individual on the CBC crew, said, the goal should have counted. "

The refs apparent lack of interest is because no penalty was called. There are two degrees of goalie interference, the lesser waives off a goal but otherwise doesn't impact play and the more severe draws a penalty

Unlike the Olympics, contact with a goalie only stops play if a penalty is called. So as no penalty was being called the ref had no reason to "care" until the goal was scored.

But that doesn't fit the narrative so ignore it.

In 2006, Justin Williams almost ripped Saku Koivu eye out! At that point Montreal was winning the series 2-0. That changed the series with Koivu out and williams didn't get 2 minutes. Habs lost that series. My point is, poop happens sometimes!

It must be contagious! They've been hanging around TB's skaters for too long.

Almost everybody is contributing on the Habs. The pp is a disaster, but outside of that, everything seems to fall into place. Vanek does not even have to be a factor so far.

Did not expect this at all. Maybe a lack of experience from Tampa?

I think that definitely has something to do with it.

But, again, you have to give a ton of credit to Montreal's players for making TB look so bad too.

Habs are playing their best hockey since Therrien started coaching the team.
