Wrong again: Conklin wasn't there unti the next year. - StLBravesFan
In fact, Conklin was the backup for the Penguins on the losing side in 2008. |

Hoss and Conklin both took the back-to-back Cup losses |

Didn't he blow a 2-0 lead in the Gold Medal game ? - philco28
The team blew a two goal lead and WON in OT, not one person. |

The team was STACKED. And he still almost lost the big game. He's a good guy, but he's not elite.

He's the lesser known jinx. Wings fans here still like to blame Hossa for '09. |

The term "elite" has always bugged me. There's a very fine line between say...the top 10 net minders in the NHL.
People throw around Carey Price as being "elite", yet he's won nothing and as I recall was lit up like a christmas tree late last year and into the playoffs...
...not very "elite" of him I say.
edit. He did win the Oly tourny I suppose...so I'll give him that. But I'd still take Quick before him. - ArlingtonRob
Quick, Rask, Lundqvist, Rinne - in no particular order. |

I like him as a person. Seems like a fine gent. However, too many bad goals and big game L's on his resume for my liking.

LOL...that is funny. Sure, it was Hossa's fault...the guy simply can't get the job done.
Now that is rich. |

When the 'Nucks lost the finals to Boston, IMO Luongo was the only reason that series made it past 5 games. |

I just always liked Osgood and Conklin on the Wings because of the Our Miss Brooks connection. |

He's not elite right now but he was one of the best for years. Your blaming him for getting scored on after making two saves in close and nobody clearing the guys out of the net but its his fault oh and they still won after he made some big saves in OT. |

I like Regin too and would like to see him in as well. Like you said Zus likely stays in and he was ok the other day. He was great on the pk so if their going to hand the Blues 9 pp.'s again Monday they may need him. But, please Q, play him at 4C or on wing.
Sit Bollig...maybe Saad or Versteeg. - HawkintheD
I'd sit Bollig Bollig first. After that if sit Saad even though I'm a huge fan. |

I know, crazy right? I believe he had an injured shoulder that was operated on after that season too.

His save on Demitra in the semi's in 2010 was quite something. If not for that save, Canada may not have even made it to the finals. |

The first goal he let in the Gold Medal game was meh...bit weak. He won his Gold on a powerhouse team, and got to a Cup Final and lost, but not much else in 15 years, despite having all the physical tools to be a LEGEND.
